I just got mine back from getting it serviced and I was itching to get out there, in the woods to test it out. Of course, I had to do a little showing off for my gal, by picking up those big logs, that I cut. Of course, I couldn't tell her that my back hurt the next day; lol!!

Pecan wood, I bet you that would be a very hard wood for the fireplace; or for a smoker! I'd like to have me some of that!

It's great in the smoker! It's very dense, making it heavy to cut and carry, though.
 
Day one of the new job done and I'm tired. Not used to being on my feet for a full shift. I have to get back into the swing of things as it will only get busier as the season progresses.

Dinner yesterday went very well. When almost vegetarian. Had roasted head of cauliflower, brown rice cranberry pilaf, garden salad and cornbread. Plus a pumpkin bundt cake with a maple glaze for dessert. There was a little bacon in the pilaf, but other than that, all veggies. And enough for leftovers for lunch today.

Today is Gandalfs tests at the vet, he had a really good weekend... we didn't take him for runs or play any ball this week like the vet said and gave him small meals spaced far apart and he did so much better! I'm hopeful this issue he is having can be managed :) , thank you all for your prayers, they were heard!!!
I'm starting to see fall ads on TV (Sept 24 @ 9 I think the halloween baking championship begins) and most the stores have out the halloween decorations! This weekend hubby and I went to michaels and just browsed around enjoying all the great decor! I also went for a 10 mile run with my friend on a beautiful trail I'd never been on.. the trail went through quiet farmland and we hardly saw anyone, it was so peaceful just listening to the wildlife as we passed by. We also passed a farm which was boasting a pumpkin patch NEXT MONTH!
Today we are having more warm and rainy weather as that tropical storm blows by us.... it doesn't feel much like fall outside but then again it never does in Florida since the leaves don't change. Now is as good of a time as any to celebrate as far as i'm concerned!

Adorable picture of your dog in a cap (I’m sorry if I’m mistaken and it is not your dog but adorable still). I hope everything went well at the vet for Gandalf. Sounds like progress was made with a new “lifestyle” over the last week. Sending positive thoughts your way SnowDog.
 
Halloween Alley has opened its doors at Crabtree Valley Mall.
(Can the holidays really be far behind?)
I strongly suspect "A Christmas To Remember" will move into this spot when HA moves out at the beginning of November.

Just got home from work and back at it again tomorrow in the morning. Carolina had a bit of a rough time tonight when my mom wanted to get her ready for bed around 745. Carolina said it was still summer so it was too early for bed even though it was dark out . When she went to bed she wrinkled baby powder all over her room because she was bored and had nothing to do.
