Christmas Countdown - 2018

[Holiday]

After today I have a whole week off and I really can't wait! I plan to bake some Fall goodies and watch Christmas movies, other than that we don't have too much planned which is a really nice feeling.
And the best part about today is that the collegues who sit near me (the ones who can hear my radio) are not here today, which means it won't bother anyone if I listen to some Christmas music at the office.. and I will! Have a great Friday everyone!

Good Morning MMC friends..Hope everyone is all well today...Ive been busy lately with family issues....To be honest ive sorta lost the christmas spirit right now....Juggling work and helping my parents out alot and trying to be a dad at the same time...It sure does tire you out alot...I will try and get back into a normal routine being here posting with MMC friends when i can...Have a Merry day/evening/weekend ahead

Good Friday morning! I have another 3-day weekend, the last of this until Christmas. That feels like a long way off and yet so close. Nothing much planned today except laundry and settling down on a Halloween costume so I can find what I need over the weekend. I also will look for Halloween desserts ideas for a bake sale at work. Nothing too much going on here. I am off of work today but still have lots to do. I have to go order Carolina's cake for her birthday Sunday. After that I will come home and finally swap out summer clothes for fall/winter clothes. I also have to wash more of my fall clothes. It will be a busy day for me but my dad will be home and he will keep Carolina busy if she wants him too

Merry Friday MMC!
I’m having my coffee and I’m working on a menu plan and grocery list. I have to run a couple of quick errands this morning then back home to work on some chores. I also have to finish up the bridal shower favors and make sure I’m not forgetting anything for tomorrow. The girls and I are so excited, it should be a beautiful day.

Days to the Season: 25 (Just over 3 1/2 weeks!)
Days to Christmas Day: 67 (Barely over 9 1/2 weeks!)

Getting chillier by the day. We are at a sub-normal 45 degrees here to start the morning and our high will remain in the 60's. (We should be in the low 70's this time of the year.)
At least no rain is predicted.

TGIF!! So glad it is Friday!! This has been a long week. Tomorrow we are headed to our friend's son's football game. He plays football for a college about an hour away so we are going to tailgate and then go to the game. Should be a lot of fun. That is about it for us...hope you all have a great day and weekend!

Took a vacation day today to get a little rest and work on Christmas projects. Gosh, it feels so good to make my own schedule today! Next Friday the piano will be tuned. That always gets me in the mood for the holidays—-when I hear the tuning going on, I know it’s that time of year.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's overcast this morning, but the temperature is cool. It's so nice to walk outside without immediately breaking out in a sweat. It's supposed to be in the mid-80's tomorrow, but then upper 60's on Sunday!!

We're planning to go to Savannah tonight, for dinner and some shopping. My niece is one year old, and we're going to her birthday party tomorrow.

So my weekend trip to Brown county to eat might be canceled. Ill just see what it's like when I get up tomorrow. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!!!!

Good morning MMC!! TGIF! Merry Friday!!!!

Just work for me today at the old job - then I'll be heading home to get things ready to head to the lake. Only 2 weekends left out there. Booo!!! It's a good thing our furnace was fixed b/c tomorrow night is our 1st chance of snow...looks like tomorrow could be a pretty "nasty" weather day!! I'll be thankful for the heat!

Tomorrow morning I will go stay with mom until my sister gets there. Then I'll head back to the lake to watch some football. Bucks play at 7:30 but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate to put them up on the big screen! Sunday afternoon our friend is playing at the bar up the street from our trailer so we'll head up there. That's about it for the weekend. Anybody have fun plans?

DD is 13 & we watched together. She said we didn't have to watch the Toy Story Halloween short afterward because that wasn't "our tradition"!

We have so many little traditions in our family for all sorts of occasions that she still likes to be a part of. I hope she'll think back on those as fondly as I do a few of my childhood traditions.

DD has band competition tomorrow. Meet at the school at 7:00 am to load, travel, compete, travel back. It will probably be 3:00 am Sunday before we fall back into bed for a few hours. We're tired already, but we know these years with DD are swiftly passing and we enjoy watching & listening as she enjoys playing percussion.

Love traditions! I was in marching band in high school and I remember those late nights well.

Those are the moments to cherish. My oldest was in her room doing her own thing while my youngest and I sat together watching Charlie Brown. He definitely takes after me with the love of the holidays.

Good afternoon .. Temps dipped low enough last night that we woke up to our first front of the season this morning. We are having an early Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow with the dad and his wife so I will be busy tonight and tomorrow cooking. Debating if I want to go to the high school homecoming game tonight.
