Good morning and Happy Friday. My oldest is on her way to camp for the weekend and my youngest is going to a sleepover tonight. A kid free night means Date Night! Planning on going out for dinner and do some Christmas shopping tonight. In the mean time going to get some cleaning done. Have a great day!
Enjoy date night & Christmas shopping!!!

Good Friday morning! It’s much chillier today than it has been the last couple of days. I’m working the afternoon/evening shift so right now I have a load of laundry in the dryer and I’m cuddled on the couch with Loki looking up local Christmas activities online. I saw a second house with Christmas lights on last night. Slowly but surely signs of Christmas are popping up. Have a great day everyone!
This made me chuckle - it sounds like Loki is looking up local Christmas activities online!! Go Loki Go!! :D :p ;)
Have a wonderful day Martine!

Happy Friday everyone. There's a few flakes of snow falling, but it won't last. It's expected to turn to rain later this afternoon. Here are the other ornaments I picked up on Tuesday for my early Christmas shopping adventures. These are for our tree, not for my exchangers. I'm keeping those secret.

Very nice!!! Have a great day!

Good morning! Just cuddled up on the couch with Nittany and watching Hallmark, drinking some coffee. I might have to turn the fireplace on. It was sleeting here this morning.

Not much on the agenda for today. I plan on putting cheesy potato soup in the crockpot for dinner. I’ve gotta work at 7 tonight, then have tomorrow off - Sidney is coming home tomorrow! We can’t wait!!

Hope you all have a great day!
How exciting!!! Hope you are able to get some sleep this weekend. Ha ha ha!! ;) Have fun with the new pup (and Nittany of course) I hope they get along GREAT!

SPECIAL POST DAY 5

I'm often asked why I collect Santas. I usually just say it's a tradition. My mom collected them when I was young. Her birthday is 3 days before christmas and it was my tradition to buy her a new one every year as a gift. She loved the ones that sing, dance, and otherwise do some kind of crazy thing. Me and my sisters loved to play with them and It was something we looked forward to all year long. So it just kinda became a thing. Then when we grew up and she started having health problems and was forced to sell the house, the Santa collection was one of the few things that we saved. I then took over the collection and have morphed it into what it is today.

As I've grown older, there's more to it than just tradition though. It has become about what Santa represents. It's about the ability to unselfishly give, asking for nothing in return but the feeling of joy when you see the pleasure that it brings. It's about seeing the look in anothers eyes when they are truly grateful, or the look of shock when they recieve something completely unexpected. It's about knowing that you have truly touched someone and made their life a little bit brighter than it was before.

Santa also represents the belief that anything is possible. That miracles can happen. The hope that magic is real. And serves as a reminder that just because we can’t see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

In a world that seems to be full of hate, Santa represents a guiding light for all of us to follow. A shining example of compassion and generosity. A reminder that it is possible for one person to bring the world together and change it for the better.

So when I look at my Santa collection what do I see? I see a goal. A way of life that few choose to live. A path to being a better person. To finding the true Christmas spirit.

So as we approach this Christmas Season, let your inner Santa shine, help make someone’s day a little brighter and put a little bit of Joy back into this crazy world.
Awesome first post of the season, Made!!

Happy Friday Eve!! Looks like another nice day today before the cold hits next week. Typical work day for me and I need to catch up on laundry tonight.
We got some bad news last night that my aunt passed away...she had dementia and diabetes. Unfortunately, I will not be able to provide a special post this weekend as I will be out of state for the funeral on Saturday. If anyone would like to take it over please feel free..let me know and I will let Crown know as well. Hope you all have a great weekend!
I'm so sorry for you family's loss, SfM.

Crown, if anyone cannot do their designated day, because of illness, an emergency, etc., I will volunteer as a standby/ backup just in case.

Thanks! This is my normal weekend to work, but have someone working for me tomorrow - we already had plans for tomorrow night ,/9 this works our perfect to be bringing her home tomorrow, since I already had off. DH will be home to help, so hopefully I can sleep some during the day!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I'm so glad to be home! We played the golf tournament in Alabama yesterday...in the rain..., so I was covered in mud and soaking wet in khakis all day. Yuck! Still, seeing Bellville at 9:30 that evening made it all better. ;)

Tomorrow, we're taking Elizabeth for senior pictures (how can that be?!?), and it's going to be an all-day affair. They don't just do the formal picture at school anymore. Now you have to have "environmental" pictures in different areas with several wardrobe changes. Ugh.

Anyway, I'm back, baby!!Banana-Santa.gif

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I remember senior pictures day. But the "environmental" pictures were taken throughout the year by the yearbook committee. It was more spontaneous that way.

That sounds reasonable to me, but my vote doesn't count LOL.
