Soooo bummed I missed the countdown last night. But for good reason. We were all gathered together at moms b/c they weren't sure she would make it through the night. Yet she goes on. She seems more alert today. Hard telling what the next few days will bring. :(

Hope you are all having a good Tuesday! Welcome to the season!

Prayers are being said {{{hugs}}}

I grew up on an edited version, maybe 4 or 5 minutes long ... when I heard the complete version, my brain went "wait, what???"
Same here. I had heard snippets of it from time to time, mainly on the radio and only within the last five years or so recorded the whole version for my Christmas music collection.

Well no snow for us overnight. It’s definitely cold though!! Nothing to crazy on my agenda for today. I have some errands to run and I’m going to try and get some more decorating done. I still have the bathroom and the kitchen to finish. Then I think I’ll put up my trees this weekend. I hope everyone has a great day!!

We ended up with almost an inch of heavy and wet snow. Gorgeous out! Quite a bit of it melted.

Oh, Holiday, I am so sorry. Many prayers flowing for your family, my friend. {{{HUGS}}}

PARALLEL JOURNEYS

We take many trips in our lives. Trips with family and friends. Trips through our employment lives with co-workers. We travel with society at the local, state, national and international levels.

And, of course, we journey here at MMC toward a common goal.
What really makes this one special is not only the goal itself, but the wonderful, fine people we are traveling with.

While most head to Christmas with the blinds down and the curtains closed most of the year until the journey is nearly complete, we embrace the Christmas spirit here year-round. We keep those blinds and curtains open the full 365 days of the year, to enjoy the light of its message.
And to enjoy the company of each other.

It has truly been my pleasure to travel with all of you on yet another voyage back to a new Christmas Season.

Enjoy the next 50 days to the fullest. We ALL deserve it.
Have a Very Happy Christmas Season, dear Friends!

Lovely post, Crown! A very Happy Christmas Season to you, too!

I got a nice surprise when I got to work this morning. After working the double on Sunday and my district manager realizing how much overtime I was going to have my boss had to get my shift covered on Thursday. Now I have 2 days off in a row. Right now I am sitting in the car waiting for Carolinas school to open the doors for pick up. It is grey and feels super chilly out. Thursday we have a chance of rain snow mix

That was very nice of your district manager! Enjoy your two days off!!

Holiday I am very sorry to hear about your mother. I am keeping her and your whole family in my thoughts (((hugs))).

Good Wednesday morning! And what a cold one it is. It is currently -22°C/-7°F with the windchill factor. Time to take out my Winter boots to keep those toes warm. I’m working the afternoon/evening shift again, and again I will go in a bit early to do some of my own work, as I’m training the new assistant-managers again today. 3 more days to go until my vacation and immersing myself in all things Christmas. Right now Loki is sleeping on my lap and I’m watching the Christmas Cookie Challenge, trying to stay warm under a blanket. My kind of morning. Enjoy your day everyone!

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's another rainy day here. It's in the mid-50's, and that's supposed to be the high. Pretty cool for us!

We met Jacob for dinner last night, and took him to Walmart for junk food for his apartment. He told us he and his girlfriend broke up again. I think it's time to lock that revolving door LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, my Seasonal Friends!
Indeed.
We are now into and moving through Christmas Season 2018, and yours truly has already listened to two Christmas music albums.

But the count goes on.
And we are also rapidly approaching a Milestone marker!
<< A Milestone marker, Crown? I thought those had all been passed. >>
Nope. One remains. Details to follow the count numbers.

Days to Thanksgiving: 8 (ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Now UNDER 6 weeks!)

And that last Milestone?
Well, it's the 90 percent, Home Stretch point to Christmas Day, and it will be arriving in just FOUR days. Barely over HALF a week's time!
(Folks, the excitement is not over yet!)

A bit warmer yesterday, and after a morning rain we settled in to calm conditions in the afternoon.
Today has begun at 46 degrees. It's still quite soggy, but it is supposed to dry out by this afternoon. Temps will hold in the 40's, owever.
Tomorrow will see 40's again, but also the return of precipitation.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks.
Enjoy this last 'Pines open house before Carl's big Thanksgiving celebration a week from today. (The decor is already in place!)
See you all there.
