Headline: LATEST REPORT: UNDER ONE WEEK TO GO!!

Good Morning, Guys.
And the latest headline is correct (and a bit scary) because there is now less than one week left before Christmas Day.
Days to Christmas Day: 6
Three-Hundred Sixty-Five down to SIX.
(Really closing in, now!)

Cooler yesterday with our high in the low-mid 50's, but it continued dry and sunny.
Today will see us with the same conditions, but tomorrow shows a high chance of rain.
Our current reading is 32 degrees here in the capital city.

Well, Folks, this is the last 'Pines open house before Christmas.
All the stops will be pulled out by our friendly activities director to be sure each and every guest has a great seasonal experience. There will be red and green-frosted fired twinkies as usual. A sumptuous dinner will be served in the highly decorated dining room with popular, traditional and seasonal music featured.
It's the most higly anticipated open house of the year. Don't fail to attend or you will surely miss a very special experience.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

Good evening, friends! I'm finally all caught up on here. I can't believe it's just one week until Christmas. Time is flying by and just like a lot of you, I haven't had much time to enjoy Christmas programming or if I do find the time, I spend it with family or sleeping.

Just work for me tonight, then I'm off for two days, but then work 5 days over Christmas. Good news though - I accepted a full-time daylight position this past week and I'll be starting that shift in just a few short weeks. Most days I'll be working 7a-7p, with occasionally doing 7a-3p. I'm scared for the change, but excited too and know it's what's best for my health.

I know a lot of you have shared in with me, a lot of the health issues and fatigue I've been having go on. I had numerous blood tests done last week and my NP and I spoke, told me I had to make an emergency appointment for this week, to go over results and talk about maybe going to see some specialists. I see her tomorrow. I pray it's nothing serious, but we shall see. God is control, this I know.

I'll try to check in later or tomorrow. Talk to you all soon!
Congrats on your news job!!
Hope it is nothing too serious....sending prayers.

Merry Pines Day!
My youngest is home again today..I think she needs one more day to rest. She still is really stuffy. Work for me today and I am going to organize my gifts tonight and see what I have left to get...luckily all my stocking stuffers I can get in town and I don't need to head to the mall.
Hope you all have a great day!

This morning they judge the decoration contest at my office ... and the decs are still going up. I'm hoping to get photos before it's all over. A lot of planning and work went into some of those displays! But folks in this business are VERY competitive.

Hope your daughter gets feeling better by the end of the day!!

A night at the Pines is just what the doctor ordered....

Except for the two sick kids I have who are throwing up. We have been going at it since last night at 3:15ish. Needless to say, I'm pretty tired. No school for any of us today...

So, that means coffee, reading, and cleaning up after sick kids. Does that balance out? I mean...no work, but sick kids....I think I'd rather work weeks straight than deal with this stuff.

Nonetheless, it will be a good day. A lot of Daddy snuggles are wanted. I just hope I don't get it.

Good Morning, MMC!!! I’m dragging this morning. I thought I was past this cold but woke up in a huge coughing fit at 4am. A few rounds of meds later I’m starting to feel normal again. I’m definitely going to need caffeine if I want to be productive though. I’ll be headed out shopping here shortly. I only have 3 more things to buy so hopefully it won’t take to long. Then depending on how I’m feeling this afternoon, I might go check out the Christkindlmart on the north side of Indy. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Oh no! Praying they both get feeling better soon, Friend!!

Uh oh. I hope they get better in time for Christmas!!

You, too?! Get better, doggone it! It's Christmas time!
:p:D

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I spent the evening alone last night. Elizabeth was at a friend's house, studying for a calculus final, and Nancy was at her office Christmas party. Lulu and I rode to town and got some tacos. I ate them at home with all of my Christmas lights on. Christmas tacos!

Tonight is the party at my father-in-law's store, then tomorrow is my office party.

I hope y'all have a great last-of-2018 Pinesday! :D

Congrats on your new position! I’ve sent you a pm last week, did you see it? It could be helpful for you.

But most importantly I hope you get good results back and your new position will give you what you’re looking for.

Only a few more days to go! I can’t believe Christmas is almost here. And like most people here, I’ve been really busy lately so it feels it’s going way too fast and there just isn’t enough time to enjoy it all to the fullest.

Tomorrow is my day off. I’m getting a new haircut and I will have time to do some more shopping for Christmas. Hopefully there’s time to relax and watch a Christmas movie or two. Friday is my last day of work this year.

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!! It's really starting to sink in that this is my last week at my old job. Gah! One of our vendors who comes every Wednesday just came in & gave me a hug. Bout made me cry!! He's such a neat man! He just told me he'll be 80 next year! OMGosh! I would never have guessed him to be that old - he looks (and definitely acts) much younger! :p

Last night I dipped a double batch of sponge candy in chocolate. I must normally only make a single batch b/c I felt like I was dipping forever! LOL! I also watch The Christmas Chronicles! I thought it was very cute! Then I started Re-watching A Christmas Prince before I watch the new one...but I fell asleep. OOPS!

Everyone, have a GREAT day!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I made some Snickers and Reeses fudge today as well as some chewy ginger molasses cookies so far. My goal is to have the freezer re-stocked by Thursday or Friday so all I have to do is bake and assemble tins for each house I go to. We will see if that actually happens! I heard on the news this morning that a local school was closed completely due to the flu. Yikes!! I get sick very easily due to my health issues so unless we have tickets to go somewhere (twice this week) I will stay quarantined in the house! I can't be sick for Christmas or I won't be able to go see my parents as my father can't be around anyone sick, so I am hoping to ward off all germs this week! I hope everyone here can do the same! Have a safe and happy Tuesday everyone!
Sounds like you are having some fun baking!! I hope you can avoid all the sickies & everyone stays healthy! xx Have a great day!

There are some serious decorations going up for tomorrow's competition at the office ... I'll try to get pictures to share tomorrow morning. So far I see a winter wonderland (featuring nearly life-size pine trees printed on canvas, attached to a wooden framework, with white puffy clouds dangling overhead) to a display of bad Christmas puns.
How fun! :)

Congrats on your new position. I hope you love it!!!

I'll keep you in my prayers for all good things from the specialist!! xx

Have a great day!

Good evening all.

One day of giving and grading exams done, two more days to go.

Henry will have a fun day the next two days of school. Tomorrow is the Student Council party after school. They are doing a secret Santa. He was excited to wrap the gift he purchased for the festivities. Then, on Thursday, the whole elementary has a Christmas party.

My wife is busy making a Snow Miser costume for herself. Her school does a dress-up day the week before Christmas and she and another teacher are going as Snow Miser and Heat Miser.
In past years my wife has gone as Buddy the Elf and the Grinch.

I just get to wear my cool Christmas ties.

-tree-
How fun! I love the Heat Miser/Snow Miser! That's another one I haven't seen yet this year!!! We always call my BIL the Heat Miser b/c that man is ALWAYS cold!!!! (he's a mechanic so he works on concrete all day...)
Hope everyone has fun with the festivities!!
