Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Thursday morning! I have the day off and it will be a busy one. I have to get an oil change on our car, I have a couple of gifts left to get (the one I had ordered arrived in store), we have to go grocery shopping for Christmas (we're going to my in-laws this weekend, but it will be just David and me on the Eve and day of but we have yet to decide what we'll eat), I have some baking to do and the usual chores. The plan is for all the shopping to be done before David's physio appoitment around 12:30, to avoid crowds as much as possible. Hope everyone will enjoy this 5th day before Christmas.
 
Good morning! Another busy day ahead. We have two final alteration appointments, the bridesmaids and I should all be going home with our dresses today. Hopefully they all fit perfectly. I have to make a Costco run and I’m also stopping for several gift cards while I’m out. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I’m going to walk Rocky as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. Not sure about dinner, I took chicken out so I need to figure out what I’m doing with it. Something quick and easy for sure. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

And yes, we are truly closing on Christmas Day which is just up the road a piece, now.

Today's count:
Days to Christmas Day: 5
Three-Hundred Sixty-Five now down to FIVE!

We cooled off again yesterday but avoided the rain.
Today and tomorrow will be a different story and we will be getting plenty of the wet stuff. (At least it will be in liquid form!)
We begin this final Thursday before Christmas at 48 degrees here in mid Carolina and a light sprinkle has just stopped falling.....for now.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

I am feeling the same way..I am going to finish organizing my gifts tonight and figure out if I need to run out tomorrow or Saturday and grab a couple of other things. I will not be doing it on Christmas Eve..lol

My daughter is back at school today...she is better but not 100% but she felt ok enough to go. Work for me today and then I am getting my hair cut/colored. Hope you all have a great day!! Hard to believe we are into the final days before Christmas!

Except for the two sick kids I have who are throwing up. We have been going at it since last night at 3:15ish. Needless to say, I'm pretty tired. No school for any of us today...

So, that means coffee, reading, and cleaning up after sick kids. Does that balance out? I mean...no work, but sick kids....I think I'd rather work weeks straight than deal with this stuff.

Nonetheless, it will be a good day. A lot of Daddy snuggles are wanted. I just hope I don't get it.

LOL... There you go, they had their daddy to snuggle up to and I bet you it made them feel better.

One time, I had both of my kids, by myself, sick. The trouble was, that it was coming out both ends at the same.... Talk about a real crappy day; for all! But, now, I look back and think to myself, and just smile.

I’m definitely going to need caffeine if I want to be productive though. I’ll be headed out shopping here shortly. I only have 3 more things to buy so hopefully it won’t take to long. That's good. I hope she feels better and that no one else in your family catches that.

Lol, I had to go out last night and get mine cut as well. It has been a year since I had it cut last, and my Mrs. was starting to get on me about it. I was starting to look like Gallagher, especially in the back, my hair was sitting on my shoulders... My daughter saw me and said Dad, you're starting to look like a Carroll County redneck (in Maryland).

So I asked the gal at the great clips, to break out the hedge trimmers and cut it all off. For a laugh, I brought Jill home some, tied with a red bow around it and gave it to her as a souvenir. She laughed!! But, just loved my haircut.

Ditto!!! I got in my truck, on my desk at work, at home and in my coat pocket. It's the icky season and the Flu is rearing its ugly head now as well in the states. I hope that flu shot I got this year has the right stuff in it to prevent me from catching that again...
