Happy Friday Eve!

Today's my last workday before Christmas. I'll be busy this weekend wrapping, making treats, and doing laundry. Hoping I can clear some sit-down time for a Christmas movie, or some music and a Yule log. Christmas prep has been so busy, I haven't had much time for the enjoyment part. Some of that will come this weekend and Christmas Eve, I hope.

Good afternoon... My last day at work until after the new year ... Started making cookie dough last night and will continue tonight and then bake for the next 2 days I see lots and lots of coffee in my near future LOL good thing I am well stocked up on coffee. My kids have a half day tomorrow and then I will have some helpers with the cookies but I fear they may eat more then they bake Have a great day!

Hope you both get to enjoy the last few days getting ready for Christmas. With lots left to do, it’s wonderful that you both have a few days off before the big day

I haven't been on in a few days. I've been busy getting things ready for Christmas and working. Today was Carolinas school pagent/show. It was super cute with all the little kids and hysterical to see all the kids fidgeting or fingers up their nose. It was a typical preschool show.
I just have things for Carolina left to wrap now. Once she goes to bed I will wrap more then hopefully I will be able to get caught up in the countdown

I soak it in a salt water brine for 4 hours before putting it in the smoker. Then I cover it with olive oil and a dry rub. I also wrap the tenderloins with bacon. It's actually the juiciest white-meat turkey I've ever had!

If you don't mind me asking you even more, what's the ratio water to salt to make the brine? Also, do you soak the tenderloins as well?

Morning MMC! It's 61 degrees in December in the morning here wow. It feels like Christmas Eve/Day from a few years ago. But luckily the weather will chill out early next week to near normal temps in time for Christmas with mostly sunny skies. Last Work Day before Christmas. I can't believe it's here and the excitement I feel inside is hard to explain but I know you all get it. Have a great FINAL TGIF Before Christmas!

Good Friday-before-Christmas morning! It is raining hard here. We're lucky it's not freezing rain. Looking at the forecast, no snow accumulation in the near future, so no white Christmas this year. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift today, so I'll have some time this morning to do some grocery shopping for our Christmas supper. Enjoy your day everyone!

Carolina and I will be baking all day. It's a rainy day so perfect for baking all the cookies we need to bake. I just have to run to the liquor store and get 2 bottles of wine for a co workers Christmas gift and get a couple more things for Mike's stocking.
After Carolina goes to bed I will be up wrapping and working on putting together the Barbie house

Good morning all!

Christmas break has begun. My son is home from the Army. Yesterday evening so a lot of fun talking to him about Army stuff. Comparing the experiences to when I was in and discussing what has changed. The other thing that was interesting is the realization that he is an adult! He was still 17 when he left for Basic training.

Tonight is cookie baking night. Lots of cookies! Tomorrow we will take boxes of cookies to the post office, police department, fire department, and a couple of local businesses. We have done that for years now and it is one of my absolute favorite Christmas traditions. Henry loves it too; he is the one who actually presents the cookies at each place.

Happy Friday!! This weather is crazy-heavy rain and high of 60. I am working today and tomorrow night we have a holiday party. I am going to wrap today and get the rest of my stocking stuffers tomorrow. I am working Christmas Eve too but only a few hours so it should not be too bad. I can't believe we are so close to the big day!! Have a great Friday and weekend!

Now dwindled down to barely over HALF a week!

Plenty of rain yesterday, as a big system runs up the eastern part of the country.
No severe weather here, but the rain may continue into today before we begin a dry weekend, the FINAL weekend before Christmas!
We commence this Weekend Eve at a surprising 61 sunny degrees here in our part of the wonderful MMC Nation.

Good Morning, MMC!!! Happy 4 days until Christmas!! What???? Make it slow down!! I spent all day yesterday baking. Today I want to make some buckeyes and I think I have to run back to the store. That will be interesting. I’d rather do it today than this weekend though. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
