Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It's been very busy here at work lately. It's great for business, but in an outdoor production environment, it can also cause frayed nerves. We actually need to work some Saturdays to keep up with demand, but five LONG days are enough. I'm glad our new boss understands that. He's a good man.

My brother and I are taking our mom to meet with a surgeon tomorrow to discuss her recent breast cancer diagnosis. We're all confident that this can be treated quickly and that she'll be completely healed. As always, prayers are coveted and appreciated.

Now I have to catch-up on some work that I've let slip through the cracks. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I hope your mom’s appointment goes well, I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
xx

Praying for a positive outcome for your Mom. I hope your MIL is getting good care too.

Good Morning, Season Stalkers!

And as we stalk, we look for clues along the way. Indicators as to just how far off our quarry is. The next one will be revealed after the latest numbers are released and digested:
Days to the Season: 266
Days to Christmas Day: 308

And our next Milestone "indicator"?
Well, of course by now you must be aware that it is the 300-Day Christmas Day Window, currently lurking a mere 8 days ahead.
ONE WEEK from tomorrow, Guys!

Mother Nature spoke yesterday and her message was clear: "Do not make the mistake of thinking that winter is over!"
Our high was in the mid-40's with a cloud cover. Today our high is predicted at 42 before a nice warm-up commences tomorrow.
Our current reading is 35 degrees here after an overnight rain.

Come one, come all to the 'Pines this evening for yet another of Carl's mid-week open houses.
As always, after a holiday open house, the 'Pines is overstocked on holiday-themed fired twinkies. In this case, great deals can be had on left-over red and white frosted ones from Valentine's day.
The entertainment will still retain a winter theme but our friendly activities director has exciting plans for the upcoming spring!
See you all there.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Folks!
Thanks Crown! Have a great evening, send me some decent weather if you could.

TGIF MMC! It's 2 2 2 day if you look at the calendar. 1 full week left now in the doldrums that I refer to as December 26th through February 28th. Unreal how it's gone fast this year but we've had mostly an easy winter here. Looks like we'll have some rain on Sunday but I'll take it over snow. Then next week colder weather going into the 1st week of March. But after that I heard we may actually get a real spring this year. Wouldn't that be nice for a change. Have a great TGIF!

Good morning ~
Merry Friday!
Not too much going on here today, just a typical day of errands and chores. I’m having my coffee and I’m working on a grocery list right now. We’re going out for dinner later tonight to celebrate my youngest daughters fiancés birthday. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great weekend ahead!

Good Morning, Weekend Thresholders!
At the doorstep indeed, on this latest Weekend Eve.

But before we step through, we need to consider the latest numbers:
Days to the Season: 264
Days to Christmas Day: 306

And, though incredible to comprehend, let alone believe, we are now UNDER a week away from the 300-Day Christmas Day Milestone marker and the beginning of a 200's level count to Christmas day.
(The 300's are winding down along with the month!)

Warmer yesterday (high of 58, pretty good for February) and we had no further rain.
Today will see a big change, with a high of 48 coupled with plenty of precipitation.
Our opening temperature this AM is 50 degrees here in the capital county with a light rain falling as I type this.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And a really great Weekend Eve as well!

Merry Friday...TGIF! This weekend we are going prom dress shopping again...we have been to a few places but she didn't find anything so we have a couple of more places tomorrow. Fingers crossed we find something..lol Otherwise, we should have a quiet weekend and I am hoping to relax. Hope you all have a great day and weekend!

Have a great weekend!

Have you tried David's Bridal? That's our go to place for prom dressed. Good luck, hope she finds something she likes.

Happy Last Weekend of February MMC! Amazing that we are in the last weekend of the 2nd month of the year. That just is crazy already! I learned last year not to rush anything cause it goes too fast. And this year is already starting to prove that. We have a little sun but mostly cloudy expected today. Rain tonight into Sunday. Next week looks cold for the last week of February. But it's a lot easier to deal with a cold week at the end of February (knowing spring is coming) compared to a cold week in the 1st half of January! Have a great Saturday!

Good morning ... Sitting here enjoying my coffee before today's craziness starts. Taking my mom out to get a new mattress for her bed and go grocery shopping later this morning. Thank fully both stores are in the same shopping center. Then this afternoon packing up a cooler so we can go meat shopping at the butcher place that is near where our daughter is going for her color guard competition. Going to be a long day lol. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good evening MMC! We have had snow showers off and on all day, no plows in sight today. Think the city is stretched tight on its budget due to the O.T. they have paid out this winter. Everyone have a great night! +e

I'm sure they had to dip into the city reserve fund to handle all the extras around my neck of the woods.

Mild temps are causing some snow melting and street and parking lot flooding and naturally the potholes are showing up on every main artery and a few back streets.

Tonight and tomorrow we're expecting freezing rain with wind gusts up to 70 km.

Should you have thunder & lightning in February? Last I heard, total rainfall for the week should be around 6 inches...

We had an electrical storm one day last winter; I thought it was strange.
