met a friend at the cinema eat in place. Saw Shazam. I want that two hours of my life back. Seriously.

No! I'm really looking forward to Shazam!

Shazam!!! Man, I remember watching that back in like, oh gosh, what was it, late 60's or was it the early 70's... I used to love watching that! I think now, it was part of a tine-frame-of-a-day, where it was on channel 45 (Baltimore), during Captain Chesapeake time frame.

Ahhhh yes, the days of nothing but Scooby-Doo, Top-Cat, Yogi-Bear, Marine-boy, Johnny Quest, Speed Racer, Super Friends in the afternoon. Then right after that was the Monsters, Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Hero's, The Rat Patrol and more...

We're still watching Hogan's Heroes and Top Cat at our house. :D

Hallmark has a Christmas movie on tonight. Bet I know the plot:

Widow with a perfect child ( sculpted good looks)moves to small town in Vermont to open a bakery for her world famous pasta/meatloaf/green bean cookies. She is stunned when Thad, local construction worker with equally good looks stops in for coffee and a green bean cookie. They connect but there is that deep past that keeps them apart ( Thad is allergic to yeast). They are saddened to not pursue marriage but vow to enjoy the holidays so long as Thad avoids anything smelling of bread. The local Dr cures Thad using a microchip from the kid’s cocker spaniel. Widow and Thad are married on Christmas Day in the window of the bakery ,,,,

The end.

Thank you. I had another 11-hour day today. And if they hadn’t sent some of the work out to a temp, I’d be there yet!

I’m planning to use ALL my vacation days this year. I’ll need ‘em.

That is a long day! Praying for you! xx

T.G.I.F. Merry Weekend Eve!

Rough night again, but this time it was the cat waking me up at 3:00 and insisting at 4:00 that I get up - he's like a baby learning by repeating things and making them a habit - I wasn't impressed - stayed in bed until 4:30 and finally got up on my own terms - but the cat sitll won.

Husband is just starting to stir now - I told him not to wake me before 5:00.

Already having my Java in my pigs on the farm mug; switched from my tomato vine mug because I needed to control something - silly - but needed this week.

Busy day at work and I'm hoping to get my Mojo (car) into the car wash this weekend for a luxury touchless wash that it well deserves.

My husband had two falls last night and as I was helping him to bed he questioned what he'll do without me when I go to Toronto on the 15th and 16th so I think I'll call the boys this weekend and we'll figure it out.

If one of them can't come and stay with him, I'll drive him to spend 3 nights with one of them. Then I'd have to drive to Toronto and return to get him on the 16th and take half a day on the 17th to travel back 'cause I can't drive at night because my migraines are in full force since last November. Around the time I stopped working out because extra hours I had to put in at work and then extra time caring for my husband.

Hopefully I get over to the gym this weekend - boy I need to stretch and get moving to some music instead of just singing along in the car.

:shakeitEnjoy your day - keep a merry thought in your head!:brr

Merry Friday!! We are off to MA this weekend for a softball tournament for my younger daughter. We leave tonight and will be back on Sunday. Of course all the girls are excited to stay in a hotel and swim in the pool. I think they are more excited for that than the games..lol
Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend!!

Best of luck to the girls and safe travels for all!

That is a long day! Praying for you! xx
Thank you!
They closed the office at 2 p.m. today as a thank you for everyone’s hard work, BUT ... our department was still there past 6 taking care of work that had to be done today. So the hardest-working people didn’t get the benefit of the thank-you!

To be fair, I’m told they’re aware that people are being overworked, and they’re looking for a solution. And, thank goodness, my supervisor is giving me Thursday and Friday off next week to give me a breather. As the 15th is an office holiday (Patriot’s Day/Marathon Day), I will get a 5-day weekend if I can survive the first half of next week!

Good Morning, Everyone.
Weekend Eve has come 'round again. And right on schedule, I'm pleased to report.

So too have our latest count numbers:
Days to the Season: 222
Days to Christmas Day: 264

And also right on schedule, our next pair of Milestone makers are advancing upon us, drawing nearer by the day.
The 1/3 point to Christmas Day now stands exactly three weeks away.
The 200-DAY SEASON WINDOW is right behind by just a single day.
Binary Milestones back-to-back!
(Plan to be here for the fun later this month.)

A simply outstanding day was had here yesterday, with our high reaching 75, sun in abundance, no rain, and little to no wind. Perfect conditions!
Today will be about 15 degrees cooler and it will come with the wet stuff, but tomorrow will see the 70's return and we should have a really good weekend.
We begin this final day of the work week at 57 degrees here in central NC and we have already seen some sprinkles this morning.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And may you have a truly Stellar Start to your weekend this afternoon!
Thanks Crown! Happy 1st TGIF of April!

Really glad that your supervisor gave you a couple of days off after all the hours that you have put in. And the fact that it turns into a 5-day weekend is something to look forward to as you get through the beginning of next week.

Good Saturday morning! It snowed overnight, enough to cover grassy surfaces and cars. But temperatures should rise to 10°C/50°F today so it should all melt pretty quickly. Have to run some errands this morning (David is getting his hair cut, I’m going to a seamstress to get a couple of pieces altered, David and I need new shoes and we need to so some grocery shopping) and afterwards, when skies clear up we’ll go for a nice long walk. The plan is to watch movies the rest of the day. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Good morning!
I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I already tidied up the house and started laundry. I’m going to walk Rocky soon and then I have to make a big food shopping trip. I think I’m going to grill burgers for dinner tonight. I didn’t use the barbecue all winter, I’m looking forward to grilling again! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Good Morning, Weekenders!
Are you ready to enjoy your end-of-the-week oasis?
Well, you will enjoy it more after you get the latest news from "The Daily Count", hot off the press with the most recent numbers.

Days to the Season: 221
Days to Christmas Day: 263

And we also have a new update on our next two pending Milestones.
We open up the review with the fact that the ONE-THIRD marker to Christmas Day is now LESS than three weeks away.
That is followed up by noting that the 200-DAY SEASON WINDOW arrives the following day, exactly 2 weeks from now.
Yep. It's true.
Back-to-Back Milestones!

Wet and cool here all day yesterday, with enough precipitation to keep us dodging puddles all day.
Today will see a nice turn-around, and we should get into the low 70's with little chance of more rain.
Our thermometer reading at this hour is 56 degrees here, and it's still a bit cloudy.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Travelers!
Enjoy your weekend.
