My husband and I are also working on getting healthier together ITP! Let’s go! We got this!!

I have gained a bit of weight because I haven't been working out regularly since November and every time I have it on my agenda to "hit the gym"; I wind up with some sort of snag, previously involving my husband, and then I was sick and then the cat bite and trips to the ER for my antibiotics - I don't feel toned and can honestly say, I am looking forward to getting back to the fitness centre real soon.

Awww thinking of sweet O’Malley finding comfort in a old pair of jeans. Makes me think of how David put his (clean) socks in Loki’s cage when he first came home and was crying at night and he’s remained obsessed with his socks ever since. Sounds like you had a good and busy day Auntie. Take good care and here’s to more good days ahead.

Thanks - today was another productive one. Put off my year end performance review for two weeks so I can focus on other things that were pushed behind while I was off.

Today, I settled my accounts for the various caterers (I like to spread it around the city to local businesses); I keep worrying there won't be enough food and yet I picked up plastic take away containers in case there are left overs.

Tonight I've been working at gathering the CDs and a few photos (one of O'Malley) for the Life well lived display. He was photo-shy so there aren't many, but I chose two from when he was a baby and one from when he was about 4; I have a Birthday DVD that we will have playing in the background while we're listening to a variety of music.

One of the caterers was shocked to find out it was for my husband's Celebration of Life; they thought it was for a work event. That's because I seem to bubbly - but that's my inner nature and it won't change.

I didn't make it home at lunch to see O'Malley, but boy was he happy to see me when I got home. I could hear him meowing from the other side of the door as soon as he heard my footsteps or smelled me approaching.

I postponed my out of town trip until next week so I can play catch up at work instead.

I still have a full day away on Friday and then a quick pop into see the O'cat and change and back out again for the local Relay for Life event - I'm only going for a few hours this year, I didn't join the team, but a I pledge a co-worker 1 dollar for every lap her boys completed last year which was quite a bit more than most of the adults on the team. I'll be back before the sun goes down.

I really appreciate the continued support.

Stay jolly! :shakeit

Life happens but it’s always a great time to make small changes is what I say. You’ve got this!

Merry Morning - sipping coffee from one of my Christmas mugs.

+i It's PINES Day! +b

Busy day today and a half-day trip out of the city tomorrow afternoon.

Yesterday, I spotted dead underwear on my travels yesterday - makes you wonder how a person loses underwear on a HWY.

It reminded me of an old message I used to leave on my answering machine ... "Wonder why you only find one sock or shoe on the side of the road; I'm bogged down with crazy thoughts, leave a message and I'll get back to you."

Crossed over the stretch of the turtle crossing zone, but didn't see any turtles.

Have a merry-ish kind of day! :ornarment

Good Wednesday morning! After two days of bitter cold where we had to wear jackets to stay warm, it looks like temperatures will be going up and the sun will make an appearance again. Actually they predict a nice end to the week, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Three more work days to go before I am on vacation for 9 days. I will go in early today because there is a lot to do and I'm training new hires on and off all week so there is little time left for everything else. I also have to go and order cake or cupcakes for our employees, to encourage them as we are collecting donations all month for the Dress for Success organization, which helps women in financial difficulties.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hope your feeling better Edge!

Today is a bit monotonous.
Kids in school, washing on, soaking some dishes......the sun is actually shining here in Wales and theres blue sky so I will make the most of it.
Visited my Mother In Law and have put a plan together for my husbands birthday.
Home to feed dogs, sorted some family tree stuff and am about to take the youngest pooch out for a walk to try and get him use to the lead.
Then home to do some cleaning and catch up on some TV whilst I try to make a start on the cross stitch tablecloth for my grandmother.
Although I do have a funny head today but have written a checklist of stuff to get done so better get cracking!

Good Morning, Milestone Stalkers!
But come to think about it, are we stalking them or are they stalking us?
Either way, the next one is almost here, ready or not.

Days to the Season: 161
Days to Christmas Day: 203

And that second number informs us that the Two-Hundred-Day Christmas Day marker is now UNDER HALF A WEEK up the road.
(So close. So very close!)

We continue to be spoiled by all this nice weather: moderate temps, humidity under control, plenty of sun, mild breezes and a reduced mosquito count owing to the dry conditions.
Today will continue the trend of low 80's readings, but we have a pretty good shot at rain.
Presently, we show 72 degrees here in the capital city.

Carl is ready and waiting at the 'Pines, and even though it is not officially summer for another 16 days, our friendly activities director has declared that season is already here at our favorite inn.
The pool is open, summer decor is in strong evidence, the "summer blends" are out (whatever that means) and the atmosphere is one of "summer vacation".
So please drop on in and enjoy yourselves to the hilt.
Oh! Before I forget, Carl requests I give everyone his business card, so here it is:

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

Happy June Mid-Week MMC! I came home early yesterday because I wasn't feeling well. Had a stuffy nose, sore throat, and head was hurting. Feel better now but still not 100%. Hopefully I can make it through the day and rest again. Have a great Mid-Week!
Hope you feel better, Edge! My friend is battling a terrible cold.

Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, Christmas friends!

After two days of college registration for Elizabeth, I'm ready to get back to my regular work routine. It's not even too piled-up on my desk...wow!

We had some fresh corn-on-the-cob last night, and it was just as good as I wanted it to be. There's something about the smell of fresh-shucked and boiling corn that takes me back to my grandmother's home when I was a kid.

We're expecting some more rain today! I hope y'all have a great day! :D
