Hope everyone is well! I was gone all weekend back up at home for my niece's high school graduation and for her final dance recital. She has been dancing with the same company since she was 6 years old and now she is 18 and this is her last year with them. Every year in June they put on a huge (but LONG) recital and I do enjoy going. And then yesterday was her graduation party. It was a good weekend seeing family and friends. The last time I had been up there for a few days was 7 weeks ago for my father's funeral so it was nice to go up there for a happy occasion. Now I am back home and can rest and start planning some decorations! I start putting up fall and Halloween stuff around the first week of September and that will be here before we know it! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Merry Tuesday!

The water in the basement has subsided a little. There wasn't enough to pump out, but the water table is still so high that I have to keep monitoring the level.

Tomorrow is Palmer's birthday. :)

I've keeping you and yours close to my heart; glad you got to spend time with your brother and hopefully your first day back to work went well.

I figured it was an herb so no worries. I thought I was taking 5 mg. but it was 10 - 5 too many.

A co-worker's child takes it, but a very low dose 1 mg. I think and she hasn't had any problems.

The doctor prescribed something else, but I only wound up taking 4 of them over time.

I just have to get used to the quiet and not having to wake up every hour or so to check on my husband; it still takes getting used to feeling relaxed enough to sleep through the night without worry.

I think I'll just take Gravol in the future if I need it; I don't usually feel groggy from it and it wears off before morning. And I don't get wild dreams from it.

Glad it isn't too bad, hope there wasn't much damage to personal things.
Palmer's going to have a barkday! WHen I was little, I had a birthday party for my dog and invited several dogs from the neighbourhood and their owners, except Pickles - he was a humper. The dogs ate Dr. Ballard's dog food and played tag and fetch in the back yard while we ate cake.

Merry Greetings +d Happy Pines Day!

I'm up and at early. I have a busy day; out of town for work; leaving at 7 am and won't be back until after 5; I'm not staying overnight so the cat should be happy about that. Looks like good weather.

I will check in later tonight and now that O'Malley the cat is out of the dog house, he can join us at the Shispering Pines.

There should be a rule that no animals are allowed in the pool. The fur will clog the drains.

I had a dream I got a merry package. That wasn't a wild dream; it's more like the usual odd, yet festive dreams I have now and then.

Wow! That places looks amazing! I wish we had Hobby Lobbys here in Wales - we have something called Hobby Craft but they are never as well stocked as that.

Vanilla Coffee sounds delicious - and those are definitely some funky dreams! I get some weird ones when I have to take medication before bed and some of them are just mind boggling but they do give my best friend and sister a good laugh!


Well I have had a few days off the computer - I've been fighting a fun fight with Paypal to try and get them to release my funds which is proving a pain since I don't actually have any photographic ID so hopefully now I have sent all sorts of certificates and bills off they will release it in time for me to get my husband a birthday present for his 40th birthday.

Have been a little down in the dumps since yesterday after getting a nasty headache that will just not budge.....I tried a shower and massaging my head, painkillers, early night, food etc but it is still there this morning so I have taken more painkillers.........and then got a realisation wake up from my sister who sent me a video of our friend Chris who is currently battling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. He took his first steps and considering the last time I saw him he was in a medically induced coma and fighting Sepsis with his kidneys and liver failing......I burst into tears. It was a reminder that God is good, and he knows what hes doing.

Meceka - I hope your water is still subsiding and you are not fighting a flooded basement today. And Happy Birthday to Palmer - Nicky, Mabel, Angus, Teleia and Rhodri send their love from across the pond.

SnowFlakeMom - Im sorry to hear about your father but I hope he had a lovely send off.

sugar142286 - what dogs do you have? I hope you enjoy your holiday :-)

Todays plan of action is to catch up here, housework and then get writing to some penpals........Id love a Christmas penpal but none of them share my love for the season!

Good Morning, Half-Way Approachers!

And we are most certainly closing in on the half-way point to Christmas Day 2019. More about this in a moment.

First, there are the daily numbers to review and consider:
Days to the Season: 154
Days to Christmas Day: 196

Now. As to the pending Half-Way Milestone, that point is only TWO WEEKS AWAY as of today!
Fourteen days.
Count 'em!

We had a dry day yesterday, so to speak.
I say "so to speak" because the soggy remains of Monday's rain were still here preventing lawn mowing, unless one is OK with a grass-clogged mower.
Today? Well, the rain is predicted to return to add to the sogginess.
It's cloudy as I type this, with an outdoor temperature reading of 63 degrees.

Well, it's 'Pines Day once again, my Friends. And as we close in now on the first official day of summer, Carl is ramping up summer season related activities, decor......and beverage blends.
Also, as usual, we guests are supposed to act as guinea pigs in his taste-testing experiments. Oh, well. Some are pretty good actually. Others are.....well.. .interesting.
Hey! O'Malley will be back to the 'Pines tonight. I'm sure he and Carl will be up to some kind of hi-jinx. Wonder what they will get into this time?
Anyway, I hope to see you all there, whether or not you are in a testing mood.
