Good morning! Yesterday was so much fun with the CIJ kick off! Hard to believe it’s July 1 today! Normal week this week for me-I even work July 4. (Healthcare means we don’t get federal holidays unless we use our personal time and not enough is happening the 4th for us to do that). I do hope everyone else enjoys their holiday week and has a great day!!
 
Happy July Arrives MMC! The 2nd half of the year! Wow. The better half of the year. And back to work for me for a few days before the holiday hits on Thursday. Always tough back the 1st day but I don't feel too bad this a.m. at all. Maybe its the CIJ magic! Have a great July Arrives Day MMC!
 
Crumbs guys! 30 pages since I left you yesterday!

I am so very jealous that the UK doesnt have CIJ so I cant join in the fun. I will have to see if it is online so I can watch with you! I want to see these lanterns you are all raving about!

Much cooler here today so I am tackling indoor cleaning and then might venture into the garden later.
I have a few competitions to enter online and then the pupster is in desperate need of a walk to burn off some of his energy!

They go all flippy floppy while you try to get them to stay straight; I think the novelty would wear off the minute you master it.

Well, how about for carrying the Christmas torch year round, keeping its light shining bright the whole three-hundred and sixty-five?
(Not too many can make claim to such a superlative distinction, you know.)

Let's check our progress, shall we?

Days to Christmas Day: 177

And we now find ourselves UNDER two weeks away from the TWO-THIRDS marker to Christmas Season 2019, as we continue our remarkable progress through the rolling year.
Let's keep up the good work!

Incredibly humid yesterday. Walked outside and my glasses immediately steamed over. Couple that with a high temperature of 94, and you can imagine what the day was like here in the capital city. We even had a late afternoon rain that failed to cool things off. Rather, it just added to the moisture.
Today will see us "cool off" to 91 and we have begun this new week at 75 degrees this morning.

Have a Marvelous Monday and a Jumpin' July, Everyone!

Yes, I have one perched on top of a beautiful cream-stone-tone egg with some of my husbands remains sealed inside and a smaller figurine next to it. They are supposed to be a sign of faith, warmth and the blood of Christ.

 
Took a walk with my dad at the waterfront along an old path we both traveled as children that was much thinner in those days and at the end of it, we arrived at a home that is next to the beach access and my dad ran into the owner, an old friend; they used to go to square dancing events together in their youth.

Putting the laptop away soon and going to get that closet organized; looks like a 4 hour job.

Happy Canada Day to my merry Canadian chums.

Weatherman cancelled the rain for today - turned out to be a beautiful weekend.

Had strawberries and vanilla yogurt with Rice Krispies for breakfast.

Valerie and her side kick put me to sleep sometime during the 9:00 pm show. That CIJ though was the best. I don't think we'll ever have a moment as funny!
 
Good Monday morning, Christmas friends, and Happy July!

I was out all last week, and now I have to catch up at work. For some reason, no one does my job when I'm out. Hmmm.

The highlight of last week was playing golf at Trump National Golf Course in Washington DC. Wow! Talk about fancy! I've never had a caddy before, and it was great. He was very friendly, and gave us pointers on where to aim for, where the water hazards and sand traps were hiding, etc. He's even getting me a pin flag signed by the president! (Not trying to get into politics here; it's just a rare opportunity for me.)

I have to get to work soon LOL. I hope y'all have a great day! :D
