They go all flippy floppy while you try to get them to stay straight; I think the novelty would wear off the minute you master it.

Yes, that's my point. Seems pretty dumb to me. My kids would master it pretty quickly and not want to play with it after a few minutes. Reminds me of a lot of the toys my MIL gets my kids. LOL. That's awful, I know.

Happy first day of July MMC!
We had a couple of wild storms pop up over the weekend that toppled trees and knocked out power for some people. It’s beautiful out there today though, we’re going to have lots of sunshine with a high of 84 degrees. My husband is on vacation so I’m sure I’ll be off schedule all week. I’m just having a cup of coffee right now and I’m going over my menu plan for the Fourth of July. I’m going to walk Rocky soon. I definitely want to get out there and enjoy the weather, I’m sure we’ll be hanging out by the pool this afternoon. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Yes, I have one perched on top of a beautiful cream-stone-tone egg with some of my husbands remains sealed inside and a smaller figurine next to it. They are supposed to be a sign of faith, warmth and the blood of Christ.
I've heard of the symbolism, too. I was once having a really bad day, and in the supermarket parking lot I had to stop and wait while a huge tractor-trailer was backing into a delivery bay. The trailer was labeled in huge letters: CARDINAL. I thought, Okay, I get the message! It was a different sort of "cardinal visit," and gave me a smile.

Off from work all week and loving it! Especially since last week was a very demanding, high-pressured, frazzling 50-hour week. I'm going in to Boston one day to see the Downton Abbey exhibition of sets and costumes, including costumes from the movie that's coming out in September. The other days I'm going to relax and watch July Fourth-type movies!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends, and Happy July!

I was out all last week, and now I have to catch up at work. For some reason, no one does my job when I'm out. Hmmm.

The highlight of last week was playing golf at Trump National Golf Course in Washington DC. Wow! Talk about fancy! I've never had a caddy before, and it was great. He was very friendly, and gave us pointers on where to aim for, where the water hazards and sand traps were hiding, etc. He's even getting me a pin flag signed by the president! (Not trying to get into politics here; it's just a rare opportunity for me.)

I have to get to work soon LOL. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

That's so awesome! Hopefully playing catch up isn't too bad!

Good morning ... had a busy weekend test driving several crossover vehicles and we settled on a Kia Sportage yesterday. It's nice going from a 13 yr old car to a brand new one although I wish I could do with out the payments lol. School doesn't start until Sept but we did start some back to school clothes shopping over the weekend too, couldn't pass up some of those clearance sales. While shopping with the kids they noticed a few things they like so I made a note for possible Christmas gifts. Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm so jealous! I LOVED Downton Abbey and I bet that exhibit will be an amazing experience! Have fun!

Happy Canada Day to all our Canadian Merry members. There will be fireworks later this evening and lots a festivities. Actually there has already been fireworks going on all weekend. Any excuse, I guess.

Remember that if you're taking the sleigh out for a ride, keep off the spiked egg nog. Safety first.
