Just stopping in for a mid-week chat and visit at Pines....and a big ol' cup of coffee....and fired Twinkies.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Pretty excited about our school's open house tomorrow! Can't wait to see all the kids....and can't believe Bambina starts Kindergarten this year.

Wow. She is growing up, y'all!

boy Did it rain here today. Crown any near you ? It was very intense and Yabba!

My drive yesterday was quite foggy in a few places it reminded me of CUJO was cool and eerie at the same time.
It rained a bit during the night; it's not raining now, but they're calling for it most of the day with a possible thunder storm in the afternoon.
Possibly continuing tomorrow.
It got to 28 yesterday afternoon so if it does rain, I hope their are some winds with it so we can get cooled off instead of feeling more humid.
It's better than snow, if you ask me.

Great time at the Shispering Pines

O'Malley and Carl put on quite a show. I haven't seen O'Malley dance like that in years. He's still got it.

He had trouble with the syncopated rhythms of the danzon-mambo and quickly switched it up to a more familiar cha-cha; the sound of padded paws and hooves shuffling reminded me of Gene Kelly and Jerry the Mouse dancing in Anchors Aweigh -haha - well, they weren't quite that good, but the Cha-Cha Jingle Bells and Christmas Swing Medley sure left the crowd in a merry frame of mind.

I enjoyed the fancy iced tea with a cranberry twist.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

We spent the evening in Sam's Club, helping Bernie buy stuff for the store. THAT was a lot of stuff. Then we had dinner at Metro Diner, which is always good.

We're off this afternoon, trying to find a bed and mattress for Elizabeth. Fall semester is a tough time to find full mattresses, since so many kids are starting college. We need to hit the ground running this afternoon.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, Folks.

Moving right along we are, headlong towards our next Milestone marker.
And truth be told, the decided majority of them are behind us now. Twelve markers down with only six more to go!
(We are truly advancing!)

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 97
Days to Christmas Day: 139

And the THREE-QUARTER marker to the Season?
Well, sir. That's now only 6 days into the future.
UNDER a week to go!
(Amazing, my friends. Absolutely amazing.)

More rain yesterday, again cooling us down in the late afternoon to early evening.
This next-to-the-last work week day is predicted to be in the low 90's with a rather limited chance of precip, and we have commenced it at 72 degrees.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everybody!

Thanks Crown! Happy Double 8s!

Good Morning, took today off to get stuff done around the house and to get things ready or our son's birthday party this weekend. He has band camp all this week and next and I will be there tonight to assist with the kids uniforms. Hubby is taking our daughter to the Eagles preseason game as an early birthday gift. Picked up a bunch of fall scented hand soaps at Bath and Body Works earlier this week. Fall is getting closer and closer :) Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, everyone!

The weekend is close. Aside from everything becoming closer to Christmas, I don't like time going so quickly in August. I like being off and getting (somewhat) paid.

I woke up this morning and thought that I was missing something. Then, it hit me: I need to make breakfast while listening to Christmas music. Right now, I have my "Today's Christmas Radio" station playing on Pandora while I cook some bacon. I haven't listened to this station in quite some time, so it's definitely helping get me in a smiling mood. Those milestones are certainly coming quickly, aren't they?

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!

It was quite foggy here, too, but not eerie as I could only see it above the treeline.

There was rain last night, enough to see a puddle at the foot of the driveway this morning. We need rain as the lawn is rather crispy. I haven't had to mow much. Last time I just did around the house and the gardens. There has been a lot of low growing clover and the bees need it as do the rabbits.

Have a merry day, Auntie. xx

Happy Birthday to your son!

I've been trickling in fall items at the store, too. :)

Have a merry day, Minta!

Well, another milestone down for me: DD's first day of school is today & she is a high school freshman. Here's hoping she has a good year and I can keep my nerves on an even keel (you all know how I hate school). We've been chanting "Four more years!! Four more years!!" The end is in sight, people! I can help her get to college if she wants to go, but she'll be on her own with the school work!

Next milestone on the countdown to Christmas for me is Labor Day weekend for our (mostly) annual camping trip to Pigeon Forge. That's just three weeks from tomorrow!:)
