Morning all
We are in the midst of a giant rain /wind/ storm spree and a big giant yellow weather warning all over the UK so have been busy sorting the garden because I live on top of the mountain and we get the full brunt of most storms that hit the UK....so whilst the sun is our briefly this morning I will get husbands work shirts and towels on the line and hope for the best.
Holly wants to go blackberry picking too so we may pop out and do that quickly this morning, walk the pupster and get a bit of fresh air before the next 24 hours hit.
The local news has just reported we will be getting some lovely 70+ mph winds so that should be interesting. Although I laid in bed last night listening to the rain and the rumbling of the thunder and loved it. Growing up in Germany I am quite use to big storms!
This is definitely the start of Autumn for us so roll on Winter. We still get lots of rain and high winds but the mornings bring that frosty fresh and crisp mornings that I love so much

AuntieMistleToe - thank you for the heads up about the exchanges. I will get myself updated asap as I loved joining in last year.

Hope everyone is having a lovely day

:blinky:Good Merry Morning :shakeit

Back to school stuff is all over the place and the Halloween and Fall flair is popping up. As excited as it makes me, I like the longer sun-filled hours instead of the constant dark we get for six months along with a very cold winter.
'Tis is the season I adore not the weather and "falling back".

I have observed that O'Malley the cat has not slept on the twin mattress or daddy's jeans for nearly a week now. He has taken to resting on his new plush pet bed that is better shaped for his body with a slight mis-shaped oval design and on a cardboard slap that came with the new sheets that were sent off to the laundromat two weeks ago and a shiny gift bag (because his fur doesn't stick to it). Although he has four suitable spots to rest or sleep, he still manages to get under my feet and sleep right in the middle of the hallway or sometimes the bedroom doorway; I have to stay alert in the middle of the night so I don't step on him. Thankfully, he gives me a clue by meowing as soon as I make the slightest move or change my breathing.

Woke up with a leg cramp at 4:00 a.m. and O'Malley insisted that was all the sleep I needed. I went to bed at 9:30 so it's not too hard to get moving, but I would have enjoyed another hour. It rained about every two hours from 2:30 p.m. through the night. None right now, but more expected this afternoon.

Work and more work today; I feel like I'm a week behind my "to do" list since while I was on vacation for two weeks, my work waited for me to return.

Have a great day - stay jolly! +a

I enjoy them too; they keep my merry mojo working. Last year, I held onto a few cards and opened them in January and the last two in early February. I doubt I'll have that kind of restraint this year.

Happy Terrific TGIF MMC! Look at us rolling towards another weekend. Amazing isn't it? And in 3 weeks we'll have a special long Labor Day Weekend that kicks off the Bers. I'm taking that Friday off to make it 4 days. That'll be my last real break till Thanksgiving. I feel like I'm at the point that although I don't want to rush the next few weeks I'm really ready for the Bers now. Have a great and Terrific TGIF!

Good Morning, Citizens of MMC.
We are coasting right along to our next Milestone marker and it's closer than you might think.

Days to the Season: 96
Days to Christmas Day: 138

Can we in fact be only FIVE days off from the 3/4 marker to Christmas Season 2019?
Can that truly be possible??
Well, the chart so indicates and it's got a pretty good track record so far.

Warmish yesterday, but not too bad really for August here in the south.
Our trip down to our sister state today should be rather warm but dry, with little chance of rain. I just hope the humidity will not be too high.
Our current temperature reading is 72 degrees.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends. And a really Wonderful Weekend!
(I now turn you over to Christmaswarlock and Auntie, who will be handling count duties pending my return.)

TGIF, Christmas friends!

We finally got a bed ordered for Elizabeth, so that part of moving her out has been handled. Now she and Nancy want an antique (read OLD) headboard that they found, to refinish it. I guess I better stock-up on sandpaper, too.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Happy Friday!
We went up to a friend’s house in RI for a few days. It was nice and relaxing..we lounged at the beach and cooked out. I am still on vacation until Monday. Hope you all enjoy your Friday!

Be safe!

Good afternoon, was in walmart last night and saw a bunch of fall/harvest boxes on pallets and several aisles being cleared out to make room for all the goodies. They even had an end cap of Hallmark ornaments displayed :) Kids here do not start school for a few more weeks so they are still focusing on the back to school supplies. Only a matter of time now :)

Hello all!

Well today is my last Friday off. Next Friday is a teacher workday, followed by another workday on Monday and the first day of school on Tuesday the 20th.

Next week will be busy with football practices and a scrimmage, plus I need to get into my classroom and start putting things back together. New carpet was put in the classrooms so all of the rooms are disorganized and boxed up.

The good news is that the start of school means another step closer to Halloween and of course... the Christmas season!
Speaking of Halloween, a Spirit Halloween store is scheduled to open on Monday August 12 in the town next to mine.

Well, I hope everyone is having a great Friday and start of the weekend.

Busy day; accomplished a lot, but I'll have to go in over the weekend for at least three hours to finish a major project to submit for Monday.

Been thinking of what to get myself for back to school even though I'm not going back to school. I'm debating a small dashcam for the car or a personal PC or transformer tablet; I've been using my work laptop the last five months when my old one quit working after three years. They should last longer than that and my warranty was only for two years.

No major plans for this evening, just relaxing with O'Malley.

I have two possible adventures for tomorrow and no rain expected. Have to drop laundry off, but it doesn't matter to me which day I do that, but it is expected to rain on Sunday so that will be a good day to go into the office and finish up my work.

Crazy thing happened on the way to the grocery store. It was raining on one side of my car, but not the other and it continued that way until I turned into the tiny rain cloud. I remember it raining on one side of the street and not the other years ago when I was downtown.

Didn't get as much as they predicted, but lots of sun showers. It's like misleading advertising. HaHa

Good Merry Morning -gift- I'm getting curious about two events today

My choices are the Sundridge Sunflower Festival - I've never been to that one they have nearly 100 vendors on Main Street with music throughout the day, a dog show, etc.

Locally, there's a Block Party downtown at noon with a bunch of sales going on and live performances - not sure what else is happening.

Tomorrow is a fundraiser for a few medical people who are going to Africa.

O'Malley tried to wake me at 3:10 this morning. I refused to get up until after 4:00, but he still won since I couldn't get back to sleep. I'll probably wind up having a nap around 8:00 before I decide how I'm going to spend my day.

Stay jolly!-surprise-

Happy Double Digits August MMC! It's an absolutely BEAUTIFUL Saturday morning here. To me, almost every Saturday is beautiful but this one actually is. It's almost cool out this morning and low humidity. Almost feels like September! Perfect weather out. Hope you all enjoy your Saturday. Have a great Double Digits August!

Just stopping in for a mid-week chat and visit at Pines....and a big ol' cup of coffee....and fired Twinkies.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Pretty excited about our school's open house tomorrow! Can't wait to see all the kids....and can't believe Bambina starts Kindergarten this year.

Wow. She is growing up, y'all!

I can't believe she is starting Kindergarten! WOW!

Good Morning, took today off to get stuff done around the house and to get things ready or our son's birthday party this weekend. He has band camp all this week and next and I will be there tonight to assist with the kids uniforms. Hubby is taking our daughter to the Eagles preseason game as an early birthday gift. Picked up a bunch of fall scented hand soaps at Bath and Body Works earlier this week. Fall is getting closer and closer :) Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday to your son!
