What a night at the Pines - Carl dressed up like a fired twinkie dancing to the Lido Shuffle. O'Malley couldn't stand on his hind legs so it looked like two people stuck together dancing in tandem - how he didn't fall on his face during a few turns - I don't know.

Lots of pool-side party games followed by Beach Boys Christmas tunes playing during the elaborate luau - hope your plates were stacked like mine.

One more summer gathering to go and we head into the "bers" at the Pines; the decorator will be changing the look of the place; now accepting reservations for this coming Wednesday.

Stay Jolly! -surprise-

My legs are exhausted. I had a hard run tonight followed by a league (frisbee) game.

I have been absent for just over a week. I was in Edmonton from last Wednesday until Sunday. From Thursday until Saturday, I competed in the Canadian Ultimate Championship.

Earlier in the year, we felt as if there would be heavy competition at the tournament. Instead, our closest game was 14-7... and then we won the finals 15-7 to become 2019 Canadian Ultimate Masters Champions! Masters is 33+ years old. I'd say from a team of about 28 guys, I've been playing with about half of them for 5-10 years, so it made everything a lot easier for most of us.

I'm near the bottom right of the team photo. And a photo of me with the trophy. Yay! ...Oh, and despite it being regularly above 90 degrees in Ottawa for much of the summer, it barely reached 60 degrees in Edmonton.

That's a cool reason not to be here. Congrats on the team win!

Good Morning, have a few minutes before I have to leave for work. Today is expected to be the last hot and humid days for a while. Going to from the 90's today to 80 and no humidity tomorrow. Even calling for upper 70s for the weekend. Fall weather preview!!! Going to open the windows to air out the house and get a jump start on some deep cleaning. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning ~
Happy Thursday!
It’s going to be sunny, hot, and humid today, chance of a pop-up afternoon storm is possible. I don’t have too much planned. My middle daughter is off from work again so she’ll keep me company. We bought some birdhouses in Michael’s and we’re going to paint them today. I will have my husband put them in the yard when we’re finished. We don’t have a lot of trees so I’m looking on Pinterest for ideas, I see a couple of good ones so far. Anyway, other than that I’ll just be working on my daily chores and I’m going to grill chicken for dinner along with roasted potatoes and a tomato & mozzarella salad. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Congratulations Brent!!!

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Thresholders.

Once again, we find ourselves on the doorstep of yet another Weekend Eve. They come and go so quickly.

Our count numbers come and go quickly as well, and the number of days left in them declines by the day.
Here is the latest:
Days to the Season: 83
Days to Christmas Day: 125

Now, hear this: We are UNDER half a week away from the two-thirds marker to Christmas Day.
Three short days.
Count 'em!

Quite warm and humid again yesterday until the evening, when a brief moderate wind and rain storm cooled things off considerably.
Today and tomorrow will see the last of the 90's for a while, and this weekend our highs should be down in the 70's for a welcomed relief.
Our Eve-of-the-eve reading here at this hour is 74 degrees.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

Congrats, Brent!!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Nancy, Lulu and I took a pizza to Mama's last night, and we had a great visit. Elizabeth was auditioning for the University production of The Importance of Being Earnest. She had a call-back, so she had to stay late. She'll find out the results next week.

It's a hectic week at work, juggling several projects at one time. Well, I AM the Senior Project Administrator, so I guess it's in the job description, eh?

The lawn continues to grow...

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Congrats on your heavy duty drinking cup! Will you be bringing it to The Pines to celebrate, this Wednesday?

Perhaps Jeff should update your job title under your username - haha

Don't neglect the lawn mower, Mr.

Elizabeth got the part she wanted! She's playing Cecily, Jack's young ward. She's so happy! :D

They must have really liked her audition since they didn't wait until next week to let her know. She's got that acting bug in her now.
