Good morning, loving the fall like weather and it is expected to last for a few more days :) We got new washer and dryer installed yesterday, such a big difference from our old set. Well I am going to get started some on deep cleaning. Have a great day!

I hear you; it's a cool 15/59 here this morning, made for lovely sleeping weather. Think our 88-91 days are behind us. Should get up to 76-83 over the weekend and next week. That's still pretty decent weather. It was calling for rain on Wednesday and Thursday, but we never got any so I took my car through the luxury wash.

I'm avoiding my deep cleaning duties. HaHa.

Thinking of going for a drive "to blow the stink off" and listen to some tunes.

Although, I should consider shopping for a new pair of shoes.

Housework can wait until tomorrow.

Hello all!
Well the first week of school is in the books. It was a good week, and by the end of the week the whole routine felt like normal. Looks like I have pretty good kiddos all the way around. Should be a good year. The biggest change for me is getting used to having a different planning period time than I have had the last 6 years. On Thursday I almost let my class go 15 minutes early because of that change, and I misread the hour hand on the clock. LOL:confused:o_O

This fall is going to be busy though. High School football regular season starts this coming week, and I am helping coach there, plus tomorrow starts the Little League football season (I am the head 5/6th grade coach). Lots of football practices, games, plus school stuff. This fall is gonna fly!

Everyone have a great weekend!

Just checking in ... keeping a low profile because I'm still in the doldrums. Not only hasn't the workload decreased, but now all employees are assigned to read a 260-page business book (provided by the head guy) and prepare a 3-minute presentation about it. Honestly, I can't see anyone in my department having time for that, as we're all working 9- to 10-hour days, and some even longer. I want my weekends free to try to recharge my physical and mental batteries. We had a few days' vacation, but the first day back at work, plus preparing for a medical procedure next week, have sort of canceled that out. The holidays are, sadly, starting to look like just more tasks added to the plate with other demands on time and energy. I'll be checking in every day as usual, but not posting much until I can spread some cheer.

Our daughter leaves for camp Monday morning and we have to take her shopping tomorrow for things for camp and school as she will start school next week. High school marching band season starts in 2 weeks so my time will be very limited then so trying to get as much cleaning as possible now.

I wish our temps were as low as yours :) we are in the 60s and 70s for the next few days before it goes back up in the 70s and 80s. I am praying we have seen the last of the 90s for the year but we usually see a couple in Sept.

Oh brother; this doesn't sound very merry; seeing the preparations of Christmas as a chore rather than a joy means you're overworked and stressed for sure.

Thinking of you and hoping the results of your procedure go well for you.
Do your best to stay connected and try and find time for some old black and white clips to get you laughing.

Big hugs!

MerryCarey I truly hope that your procedure next week goes well. And that you are able to decompress during the weekends.

I forgot to mention my trip to our new HomeSense store - lots of Fall and Thanksgiving items out on display and a few Halloween things too.

I picked up a new feather pillow and three small Christmas surprises for children of co-workers.

Thank you ... I wish I had your ability to face down the blahs and blues and turn them around, but lately it's like herding cats. (No offense to dear O'Malley!) When the chips are down, we tend to pull out Mrs. Brown to get laughing again. Of course, those black-and-white movies and shows do the job, too.

Thank you ... I'm trying to get some happy Christmas vibe going. Over lunch Mr. and I talked about Kringle Radio and what we might do this year ... when we got back home, I used some PayPal balance to buy a Christmas CD set I had had on my wish list since last year. Inch by inch I'll get to "jolly" somehow!

I really hope things slow down for you soon MerryCarey. Try to take it one day at a time, sometimes things can be a lot less overwhelming that way. I hope your procedure goes well xo

Good evening all! Just wanted to check in. We had a great time in Pittsburgh yesterday and even saw a win. Pirates are killing it tonight - 12-0 so far. I’m almost all decorated for fall so far. My house looks and smells so cozy. I ♥️ this time of the year! Hope you’re all having a great weekend! I’ll check in tomorrow!

Every now and again, I check to see how many days are left until Christmas. I can't believe in 22 days, we'll be at the 100 mark! I'm getting more and more excited as we get closer. What's also exciting is that the leaves are already starting to change color here in Calgary. Not all, but some.

Good Merry Morning, all y'all bunch of Christmas lovers~ +f

I had a great sleep with my new feather pillow.

An interesting observation on my part whereby O'Malley had not been using the mattress I set up for him as a bed since I returned from my Nova Scotia adventures.

On Friday night, I told him that if he wasn't using it, I was going to take it away to have more space at the far end of the living room. That same night he actually settled down on the mattress on top of Gary's old p.j. top and blue jeans.

And most of the weekend, he has been making good use of it. Either he understood me or that is where he was resting when I scooped him up to put him in his cage and take him to Sandy's where he spent 10 days caving under her bed. I guess he finally realized that he wasn't going to be scooped up again and the comfort beckoned him.

Last night, he went into the cage - not all the way in, but just to have a look - maybe he was scouting for treats that may have been left behind. I sometimes toss treats in there so he doesn't think of it as a horrible place.

I place his treats in various spots all around the four levels of his super spinning ball toy and he fishes them out and then plays with the second ball from the bottom - it's the only exercise he gets unless a fly goes by.

He tried to wake me at 4:25, but I held him off until 5:30.

No concrete plans today, have some cleaning to do and might go for a drive or visit my dad.

Have a super Sunday - make it a fun day! +a Stay Jolly
