That's right; original, light and pumpkin spice varieties are in my grocery stores. And what do you know, a carton made the way into my fridge.

YABBA

The custodian of the school where I had my car parked, let me stay inside the school lobby to stay warm, but his shift was over at 7:00 and I didn't want to cause any trouble because they're on a "work to rule" with pending contracts.

I don't even know him and he waiting outside until my tow truck came.

Nice guy.

That was so nice of him! It's so wonderful when we encounter people like that in our lives!

Happy Week Into October MMC! A warm day today with temps in the 70s. But a mostly cloudy week it looks like. Hopefully the weekend will be decent/nice. Most of them have been for the last several months. Back to the grind and a 5 day week. Have a great Week Into October Monday!

Merry Monday -mistletoe-

My two-day work week has arrived and then I'm on vacation from Wednesday to Wednesday. I always take extra time off around the Canadian Thanksgiving. We're planning on visiting my aging older cousin who I always referred to as Uncle Reg because he was older than my dad. When I was little I thought the relationships had something to do with age so it kind of stuck. I've been avoiding him for nearly two years because I couldn't handle it if he forgot who I was. My dad said, just go and have a visit with a nice fellow and he'll likely pretend he knows you even if he doesn't say your name. I want to go because I'm sure I'll have regrets when he passes if I didn't make an effort to connect before he dies. He will be 89 on October 29th.

O'Malley will be on his own for four days, but he'll see me on two of those days so hopefully it won't feel too long for him. I'll have an extra litter pan set up along with extra food and water dishes.

I went to bed at 9:00 last night, but couldn't get to sleep. I got back up and was relaxing in the leather rocker recliner with my fall plush blanket. O'Malley got up and walked across his bed (mattress) in the living room. He's done that several times so I can reach him for a reassuring rub then settles down closer to me. When I was talking to my dad yesterday I mentioned that the mattress was still set out for my feral boy. A few toys for exercise and his two cat beds still set up for a retreat spot. I was saying that it was a good thing I don't have company. Then again, I was willing to bring a hospital bed into our living room to make my husband comfortable and safe while I was at work; why wouldn't I give my aging cat the same simple act of love.

It's a bit chilly this morning, I could smell chimney smoke coming through my screen during the night. I think it's the house on the corner; not sure if they have a fireplace or a wood stove.

My dad said he wanted to chat on our vacation about possibly not being here for Christmas this year. I told him I'd be up for a cabin in the woods. We'd have to search it out and secure a spot by the end of October or they'll be sold out. He wants a spot close to Toronto so my brother doesn't have to go too far to join us. The other brother has only been home twice at Christmas since he got busy with his own family.

Have a marvelous Monday and stay jolly :ornarment

Merry Monday MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy and breezy today with a few spotty showers and a high of 75 degrees. Well my husband was able to fix my washing machine yesterday so I’ll be catching up with the laundry today. Rocky has a groomer appointment this morning and I’m seeing the chiropractor later this afternoon. My middle one is off so she’ll be keeping me company. We’re going to grill burgers for dinner. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!
xx

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Both Jacob and Elizabeth were in the University Music Department's Vocal Gala Saturday night, and it was an awesome show! Then Sunday, the two of them did the special music for our church's Homecoming service. I'm so proud of them!

Last night, Nancy and I went with her dad and her sister to the China Buffet and tied-on the feed bag. I'm sure it's not good for you, but it's pretty good TO you.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, Everyone Everywhere out there throughout the great MMC Nation!
It's not only the start of a new week, it's also a MILESTONE DAY!!
Details to follow the release of the daily numbers.

Days to the Season: 37
Days to Christmas Day: 79

Well Folks, it has begun.
The HOME STRETCH to our grand and glorious Christmas Season.
The NINETY PERCENT point has been reached!!
And NO more Milestones stand between us now and the start of the Season. Not a one!

Just a tad warmer yesterday, but still incredibly nice for early October with lots of sun, pleasant temps, low humidity and a reduced mosquito count. The only thing missing that we can really use is rain. And none is predicted for this week, unfortunately. The grass and plants are suffering.
Currently, it is 62 degrees to begin this premier day ot the work week.

Have a Marvelously Merry Milestone Monday, Everybody!

Thanks, Crown! Happy Milestone Day to you and all of my MMC family! Can't believe we've reached 90%! I love counting down the days with all of you!

Good morning friends and Happy Milestone Day! Can't believe we've reach 90% of the count to Christmas together! It's a rainy, dreary day here in my part of PA. It truly looks and feels like fall and I'm really enjoying it! I have my niece - we're watching Halloween themed shows on Disney Jr and with the house being decorated for fall/Halloween, she keeps saying how "spooky" it is! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
