Well, here it is Family Fun Fair day in my merry neck of the woods.

The weather will be chilly in the morning, but warming up to 12/53 in the afternoon. Sunny with fluffy clouds expected later so it will make for a nice leisurely drive to nowhere in particular once we get the venue back in order.

O'Malley cat tried to wake me up at 3:30 again, but I threatened him with the water bottle, showed him where his dry kibble was and went back to bed. He let me sleep until 5:15. Yay!

Been a busy few days here. Football, work, etc. Things finally slowed down yesterday morning. Got to sit outside with a fire and listen to some music. Today, I plan on sitting on the deck, cooking, and watching some football. This is such an awesome time of year. Being able to sit outside in cooler, listen to football, and do some cooking is about as fall as it gets!

My Aunt is having a rough go at it. She has beat breast cancer twice in the past 7 years. She has been having some bladder issues and she went to the ER on Wednesday. They found two masses. The following hoursvwas a pretty intense situation. They immediately gave her medication, prepared her for transportation, and sent her two hours away for surgery. Did a complete hysterectomy and removed her appendix. Her bloodworm is still abnormal. If you don't mind, please say a prayer or two for her. We have always been pretty close and I'm terribly worried about her.

Days to Christmas Day: 79

Well Folks, it has begun.
The HOME STRETCH to our grand and glorious Christmas Season.
The NINETY PERCENT point has been reached!!
And NO more Milestones stand between us now and the start of the Season. Not a one!

Just a tad warmer yesterday, but still incredibly nice for early October with lots of sun, pleasant temps, low humidity and a reduced mosquito count. The only thing missing that we can really use is rain. And none is predicted for this week, unfortunately. The grass and plants are suffering.
Currently, it is 62 degrees to begin this premier day ot the work week.

The outdoor Christmas lights are hung up and ready to blaze brightly U.S. Thanksgiving night. The snow blower got its annual lube, also. Gotta mark this milestone with more than a "WOO - HOO!"...-season-

I think I forgot to mention that I celebrated our Milestone Day with eggnog in my coffee instead of cream.

And tonight I'm sampling it with a shot of Bailey's Pumpkin Spice.

Just one shot 'cause I want to stay awake to watch The VOICE.

Both Jacob and Elizabeth were in the University Music Department's Vocal Gala Saturday night, and it was an awesome show! Then Sunday, the two of them did the special music for our church's Homecoming service. I'm so proud of them!

Last night, Nancy and I went with her dad and her sister to the China Buffet and tied-on the feed bag. I'm sure it's not good for you, but it's pretty good TO you.

Are Jacob and Elizabeth attending the same University? I may have missed that because Jacob would have started before Elizabeth.

I haven't heard the tied-on-the-feed-bag expression in along time. Think my mom was the last one to use it the last time I took her out for a Mother's Day brunch.

I just realized that O'Malley the cat and I are going to miss out on the Pines on Wednesday. He has my permission to go on his own, but he doesn't drive well; he's all paws and a bit short.

It's going to be cool today, yet sunny and warming up in the afternoon.

I have a feeling there will be frost on my windshield to scrape off this morning. I had to take my snow brush/scraper out of the trunk on Saturday morning.

Not YABBA!

Busy day at work and then I start my vacation. Not even entirely sure where we are going on Thursday.

I might take my new laptop with me; it's lightweight.

Having a cup of coffee/hot chocolate blend in my Santa mug that holds two k-cups on the medium botton.
