-sing-Fabulous Festive Friday -santa dance-

Another busy and long work-day for me and then we have our staff social tonight; there's no dinner just hors d'oeurvres and munchies with music, dancing, prizes and service recognition awards.

I hope I can make it through the day and at least a few hours at the party. The attire is semi-casual; bring your dancing shoes.

I have a special outfit picked out that is elf-like. I don't subscribe to the common dress code suggestions; I'm not a conformist, but I obey real laws and moral ones.

Funny thing happened last night that was kind of cute.
I was watching Ellen's Greatest Night of Giveaways and I remarked aloud, "I never heard of Green Dot Bank before." Clear as crystal O'Malley said, "Nawwh!" I turned and said, "You never heard of it either?" Then I went back to watching and turned back and said, "You're so darn cute."

Bit of a rough night, but it had more to do with the plows and graders clearing the HWY, road and mall which I could hear from midnight onward. They didn't plow my dead end road yet, they only sanded it and I can see there's already a pile of snow starting on my corner, but not the opposite one so I'm going to call the city if it gets too high to see oncoming traffic; last year was ridiculous.

Enjoying my coffee/cocoa blend. Stay Jolly! :shakeit

Good Morning, Footloose and Fancy Free Friday Friends!

We are rapidly closing in now on the Big Day.
It's not far away now at all.
Really!

Take a look:
Days to Christmas Day: 12 (So close now to SINGLE DIGITS!!)
Wow.

It is remaining rather cold and we will have a chilly start to our trip to Charlotte this morning. Couple that with heavy rain, and you have the makings for a less than enjoyable trip.
Fortunately, the return trip tomorrow should be better with less chance of precipitation and temps about 10 degrees warmer.
Our present reading is 40 degrees.

Regardless, you have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.
Edge will be taking over the count tomorrow morning in his usual classy style and I shall return Sunday!

The eye surgeon called today with a dozen questions about my "condition" and most of them were related to being sedated and being ambulatory enough to get on and off the table without a power wheelchair. I can't believe they want me there at 6:30 in the morning. They said I should expect to meet with the anesthesiologist for more questions and concerns she might have.

I'm not sure of my Christmas plans yet. Aside from ordering an organic ham, I really haven't made any preparations.
Bless your heart. I'm praying the surgery goes well for you.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's hard the believe that there's only one more Friday before CHRISTMAS! Even if today is rainy, and Friday the Thirteenth, woohoo!

Nancy and I are going to see Elizabeth dance in the Nutcracker this weekend. Instead of being a dance student, she's now a dance instructor at the Arts Center, and they are invited to join the students on stage. I can't wait!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Merry Friday MMC ~
Not too much going on here. I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a grocery list. I plan on going to the butcher at some point. I have a chiropractor appointment later this morning and I plan on doing some Christmas shopping as well. I guess that’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Good morning MMC!!
TGIF! My youngest daughter has a her semi-formal dance so we have to be at her friend's house for 5. My oldest has plans so my husband and I might go out to dinner.
Tomorrow night we have a Christmas party to go to and Sunday I am planning on wrapping. Hope you all enjoy your day!

Thanks Crown! Happy Friday the 13th of Christmas!

Happy Friday the 13th of Christmas MMC! I came home early yesterday as planned. I went to the Dr. and they told me it's nothing more than a bad cold and that I should be resting. I went home and did that. I slept almost 10 hours last night. I definitely am feeling better but I still have a bit of a cold. I am home today resting again and doing a little work from home. Have a great Friday the 13th of Christmas!

Merry Friday Christmas all!!!
Last night we tore down walls and the ceiling in the youth building at church. That was a lot of hard, dirty, itchy (insulation) work. But most of it got done. I'm heading back up there in a half hour to start cleaning up. There's a huge mess. Other than that the only plans I have are to take Michelle out for dinner tonight. I always have a wonderful time with her. Really looking forward to it. Have a blessed and wonderful day!!!

Good Morning, MMC!! Well I spent yesterday giving myself an early Christmas gift. New front brakes on the car. So exciting!! Lol!! What should have been an hour job took several though because I couldn’t get one set screw out and then I couldn’t find my c clamp in my tool box. I sure hope Santa wasn’t listening because I’ll definitely be on the naughty list if he heard some of the language coming out of my mouth. Today I have a few errands to run and then tomorrow I’m going to see my niece sing in the Christmas concert at her school. Well she says she’ll actually be lip singing because they are singing songs in German and Italian and she can’t remember them. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

G'Mornin' Christmas Fans :)

So they caught the culprit who made the threats to our school. There was no real threat, come to find out. But administration can take no chances these days.

These kids doing things like this do not understand in this day and age threats like this, whether real or not, will land you in prison.

So, we move on, on towards Christmas, which is approaching FAST

Good morning MMC. It's another day-off-Friday for me. Temp started at 50 and is heading for 72 today. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last warm day as next week we drop back into the 60s with rain heading our way. So far this morning -
- Grocery Shopping (Check)
- Include items for Christmas Day (Check)
- Have a hearty breakfast (Check)
- Clean turtle pond filtration
- Go to local deli to order sweet-n-sour meatballs for Christmas Day
- A little Christmas Gift shopping
- Jewelry store for watch repair estimate.

Not sure what's happening in the afternoon.

We stumbled across some Christmas traditions in Poland and the wife and I have decided to adopt one. Setting a place for the unexpected guest. The Christmas table always has one spot set and ready if someone unexpected stops by.

Enjoy!

Good evening all!

Almost time for the weekend. Today was a normal day, nothing exciting. Just catching up on grading and such.
We are having a bathroom redone this weekend. New floor, sink and cabinet. Luckily I am not doing any of the work. :D

I hope everyone had a great day!
Bathroom projects fall into the "I love work. I could watch other people do it every day." category. ;)

I had to wait a week, after hanging up our Advent calendar, before we could use it. All of a sudden, today, it is the second half of the season. Have mercy...

TGIF! DD has completed her 1st semester as a high school Freshman and the world rejoices; :) She goes Wednesday morning for one test and then she's free until January 7.

I hope to spend Saturday deep cleaning the house. No plans until church on Sunday. Sunday night is the children's Christmas program.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

We are celebrating early this year too... December 14 - THIS Saturday!! 1st time ever it's not on Christmas Eve. I'm kinda sad about it!! Hope you have a great time!!!

Almost quitting time here! :) Tonight I need to brown burger for my families Christmas meal on Saturday, (smokehouse spaghetti) make a cheese log for the same party & mix up cookie dough for cookie day on Sunday! Tomorrow is the annual shopping trip with my friend - our 31st! Saturday morning my sis is coming to help make the spaghetti, and I need to make bruschetta! AND Sunday is cookie day! Busy days ahead!!!

Have a great one everyone!!!!
That will be a very busy and festive weekend Holiday. Have a wonderful time with your family and friends!

At least you knew what to do to replace the brakes without the added cost of a mechanic.

I'll bet your niece won't be the only one faking the singing.
