It snowed here today Didnt stick here on the lake though.. but the mountains have 8 inches!

Well, I took advantage of the nice weather this week and got lights on the house and some of our trees. All I have left to do is run cords to the trees.

Had our septic tank pumped out today too. Found out it has failed. One of the side walls caved in. Yay, $9000 out the window that we don't have. Might put a halt on our trip next month.

Another bright, sunny, beautiful morning here in Raleigh, capital of the great state of North Carolina.
We are a bit chilly at this hour (50) but the weather service predicts 80 for this afternoon.
(Hey! That's a bit TOO warm for November. Might start getting me out of the holiday spirit!)

Let's check on our daily count:
Days to the Season: 6 (Less than a week, now. WOW!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 48 (Under 7 weeks)
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 20 (Below 3 weeks)
(Our string of 5 pre-Season posts begins tomorrow!)

There is a magnificent Christmas tree just installed outdoors at the mall.
Looked incredible yesterday evening against the night sky!
Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me. Will rectify that problem ASAP and post the picture in the Chrismtas Blossoms thread.

Hello Countdown Crew.
This morning seems to be flying by! Not a good sign.
I had a vaca day yesterday, and it also flew by. I thought I'd be totally caught up on this thread by now (I am on pg 250, though) but had errands to run in town that ended up sucking up my day. I didn't go to the nursing home to visit a former co-worker (well, I went but couldn't visit) because his floor is closed due to illnesses (stomach bug) and I didn't make it to the library. <sigh>
I also ended up working on an album on my MySpace page with pictures of coworkers for a scrapbook retirement gift I'm planning. I posted most of the pictures that will be in the scrapbook on my page in an album titled THE ELVIS PROJECT.
She retires the 28th, and thankfully, the project is almost done. (One of my errands yesterday was going to the kodak phot kiosk and printing up some pics that are going in the album.)
I did have an early birthday lunch with my ex-sis-in-law and ex-brother-in-law and did pick up a couple Christmas dvd's.
We watched one last night. (SHREK THE HALLS) 2yo grand-daughter kept saying "I want to watch it again!" ha ha
I also bought the three grand-daughters that live near me a few small things (gave them one yesterday, though) and got ideas for the three grand-daughters that live downstate........
Our temps here have been mild, which I'm loving. I like it when my furnace isn't running!!!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
I'm off to read some more until the grand-daughters wake up!!!!
