Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

Happy Welcome To Spring! We made it to a big day folks. Not 1 but 2 milestones arrive today on this Saturday. But let's first get to the official countdowns. We have 250 days till Thanksgiving, 226 days till November, and 165 days till The Bers. Our 2 milestones that I spoke of earlier? They are the Arrival Of Spring & the 250 Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. BIG MILESTONES today folks. How does it feel? And which is more exciting? Sounds like a poll question on a Saturday haha. They both are great though. And it just feels good to know we made it into spring. Our next milestone though? Guess when that is? It will be on Thursday as we celebrate Tom Turkey Day #4. Can you believe that? The 4th one already? Well we will celebrate here with a special poll on that day. That's something to look forward to next week. But let's enjoy THIS first weekend of spring first. Shall we? Have a great Welcome To Spring!​
 
250! Yeah! I'll bet these next 50 days will fly by, and we'll break into the 100s before Memorial Day!

I'm going to dial back this upcoming Tom Turkey Day just a bit only because I'm planning on doing our "Easter-giving" meal for Easter. I've been planning for that - especially for homemade baked mac and cheese!

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 164

Happy Spring Weekend! We made it to spring for sure folks. And the weather is telling us that this weekend with a gorgeous one. And our 3 counts kind of tell the tales of very early spring by the following numbers: 249 days till Thanksgiving, 225 days till November, and 164 days till The Bers. Awesome. Our next milestone? It's going to take place on Thursday folks. It will be Tom Turkey Day #4. Wow the 4th one? I remember when we celebrated the 1st one in HISTORY here in December. Just goes to show you all of the progress we made as we went through the entire season of winter. And here we are in spring already hoping things can slow down a bit so we can enjoy the long ride we still have ahead of us. It's a wonderful time of year right now. Most would agree I believe. But of course the most wonderful time is above in those 3 countdowns. Have a great Spring Weekend!​
 
It was kind of shocking to realize this morning that EASTER is in only TWO WEEKS!

There's gonna be turkey! And there's going to be a big family meal, and because of that, I'm going to get vibes of THANKSGIVING!!!

We are having a ham and a turkey...can’t wait to have our family together again!

Happy Spring Break! We made it to a new week folks and that means we have a weekly count in addition to our 3 daily counts. Let's get to the daily ones first though: 248 days till Thanksgiving, 224 days till November, and 163 days till The Bers. Our next milestone? It's on Thursday! We will welcome in Tom Turkey Day #4 with a special poll to celebrate its arrival. Now with it being Monday here in this thread we enjoy Mondays. We will give you the Weekly Countdown to Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 35. Yep we're halfway from 40 to 30 now. Right smack in the middle. Pretty amazing stuff isn't it? That is definitely the most amazing week of the year. I love it so much and I know all of you do too and that Monday is unlike any other Monday. Have a great Monday folks today. Yesterday when we were making our grocery run early in the morning, one thing that instantly put me in the feels, was when I saw the pallets sitting everywhere of stuffing and cream of mushroom soup (obviously for green bean casserole). It really felt like those crazy weeks leading up to Thanksgiving where you see that stuff like that everywhere!
 
Well, my wife called an audible on our Easter-giving meal, so now we're having ham instead of turkey. Can't say that I'm not just a little disappointed, but no matter - we're still having all of the Thanksgiving sides, and I found a recipe for a maple glazed ham that I can't wait to try. Maybe I can talk her into just having a small turkey breast instead of a full turkey. Also, a pumpkin pie will make an appearance.

(Or I might just surprise her with the turkey for Tom Turkey Day this week...)

Sorry I missed the 250 mark with you all. Still trying to get back into the swing of things.
250 is a huge milestone. It makes Thanksgiving feel so much closer.

Happy Latter March! Spring feels so good. I have to say that first and foremost. Now do you know what else feels good in this thread? The three countdowns above these words. They are as follows: 247 days till Thanksgiving, 223 days till November, and 162 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is on Thursday (which is 2 days from now). It will be Tom Turkey Day #4! And we're all looking forward to it in this thread aren't we? Other than that I'm just loving this time of the year. Early Spring feels like October/November. It has a little coolness to it but the sun feels good and you feel almost like you're in a holiday time of year. Technically we are because we do have Easter coming in a couple of weeks. But our 3 counts above are far off so no need to panic here in this thread. Have a great Latter March!​

I'm going to see if I can ask for a pumpkin pie now. Honestly, pumpkin pie and the plain white cheesecake from Costco always put me in a Holiday mood. If I get either one of those, I'd be fine. Both would be even better.
