Hard to believe that in a week's time we'll be down to only double digit counts in this thread.
I'm starting to get anxious about the parade again with Covid cases on the rise. I know we all don't want to talk about it, but I'm just now starting to consider my plans for Thanksgiving morning in the event that the parade turns out to be like last year's. I suspect I'll probably watch anyway.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 82
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 21
Happy Rolling Thru August! Here we are into the middle of the week now and looking at our 3 countdowns above like always. They read as follows this morning: 106 days till Thanksgiving, 82 days till November, and 21 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is in 6 days time which is less than 1 week now and that will be the 100 Days Till Thanksgiving Marker. And yes that will be our final triple digits countdown ever in this thread. Isn't that crazy? It is crazy but what's crazier is that we are 3 weeks until The Bers. And then it all begins. Yikes. Ok 3 full weeks to enjoy still before that. Let's start with today ok? And then tomorrow we'll worry about tomorrow. Deep isn't it? That's the way we gotta approach this time of year as we approach the latter part of summer. We're into the 2nd half of it. Plenty of hot/warm days left though. They won't go away for a while still. We'll get some less humid days though and that will be nice. And it will all transition as we move ahead. Happy Dozen Days Of August! We move along here folks into Thursday and we look above at the 3 countdowns: 105 days till Thanksgiving, 81 days till November, and 20 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is on Tuesday of next week as we reach the 100 Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. That will be HUGE. But here and now we have a poll since it's every other Thursday. Here it is folks!
What is your favorite "side" of Thanksgiving dinner?
A.) Cranberry sauce
B.) Biscuits
C.) Stuffing
D.) Potatoes

For me? I'm going with A because I never eat cranberry sauce except on Thanksgiving. And it just makes the turkey taste so delicious. But I love all the sides. The sides really are the MVP of Thanksgiving dinner. Let me know your thoughts on your favorite side. Have a great Dozen Days Of August!

C. Stuffing followed closely by the cranberry sauce. I'll even confess I love Stove Top, which is probably fightin' words in homemade community. For leftovers I go with cranberry because to me it makes the sandwich "Thanksgiviny."
E for me, because I make baked mac and cheese every year. I can't get enough mac and cheese.
If for some reason mac and cheese isn't present, I'd choose D. Either way it's a load of carbs.

C. Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes with turkey gravy are a close second, but you just can't beat a good stuffing.
Stuffing for me and like Rich, potatoes are close 2nd! My BIL always makes the potatoes and adds sour cream and butter...and seasoning...they are so good!!
