Smells from the kitchen!

Today is baking day and my kitchen will smell like pumpkin pies and all that good stuff.
It's a perfect day for baking. Very cold outside, lots of snow and lots of family to help.

Today pies are on the agenda. Pumpkin is the main character. Supporting cast will be Peanut Butter pie; Pumpkin bars; sugar cookies and whatever else I see that I have all the ingredients to make. (I just love to make surprise desserts)

Looking forward to tomorrow with family here and good food and carrying on our precious tradition of Thanksgiving and giving thanks to the Creator.

Oh and yes the parades, I love to watch the parades and I'll have time to do it since we are not eating until about 4 pm (my one son-in-law has work that day) The other son-in-law is away at training for his new job so he can't come home but will be here for the weekend, he said to save him a piece of pumpkin pie.

You said it all Joyful! It was a day of baking in anticipation of the holiday with family and thankful we're all happy and healthy.
We, too were baking - pecan pie, pumpkin pie, deviled eggs - tomorrow the sweet potato casserole and lemon butter asparagus - packed up in the car and "over the river and through the woods" to our potluck family feast. Can't wait!:thanks:

Dang it all! I forgot the deviled eggs!! My 7-crockpot dinner is ready to go to my MIL's "home," (a place for senior citizens). I am tired, but I would almost be willing to do a lemon butter asparagus dish. It sounds wonderful!
