Good Morning Folks! Time Marches on. A new day and a new set of countdowns to marvel over. We will have ANOTHER milestone day on Wednesday, the super snazzy 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Just doesn't seem possible that so many of the countdowns all seem so "low".

I'm excited for Friday the 13th! I think it's a super cool way to celebrate almost the midpoint of the month, with a little spooky flavor. And the 100 Days to Halfoween draws ever closer, we are just 12 days away now.

Have a great January Sunday, try and take just a few minutes today to reminisce about our wonderful October Weekends(tm)!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome back to Monday. A whole long week ahead of us. This will feel like a long week, I have basically had short weeks for the last two weeks. But now the real "grind" begins at our company, we won't have another day off until Good Friday!

On a brief side note, today marks 350 Days to Christmas. I am excited to have already reached a "mini" milestone, but to also think that in less than a month and a half, there will no longer be any 300's remaining in the main Christmas Countdown!

Now back to business. We have another of our own milestone coming up this week, on Wednesday to be exact, and that will be the 250 Days to Halloween Season. I get excited just thinking about what it will be like to be back in Halloween Season.

Also, don't forget that on FRIDAY, we have our first Friday the 13th of 2023. It is in my book, a Halloween / Jack O Lantern Day tuneup day. Almost like a pre-season game. However you view it, we can all agree I think that it will be good to have a little spooky flair for this first time in 2023...

Guys, we aren't going through this alone. We have each other here on this thread, but it should make us all feel good that one of the Autumn groups I follow on FB have all said for days now how much they miss Fall. Our people are out there everywhere.

I'm going to save too many thoughts for tomorrow, since tomorrow is our "Halloween Thought Tuesday". Have a great Monday, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Monday is in the books now and we march on.

Exactly three weeks this morning from Jack O Lantern Day #1, ONE DAY away from the 250 Days to Halloween Season milestone, and now only 10 days away from 100 Days to Halfoween. Folks, how can "Halfway to Halloween" feel like it is so close?

It's only 69 days until Spring. SPOOKY SPRING will not be far behind!

Today my "Halloween Thought Tuesday" might seem like an odd one, but my thought today is about how different it feels missing Halloween vs. Missing Christmas. We've covered it briefly before in other topics, but I think at the heart of it, Halloween / Halloween season ends and is swallowed up by Christmas Season and the build up to Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's mentally knowing that there are still lots of time up ahead of celebration and good times. I think for that reason alone, I don't really get to "mourn" Halloween proper like I do when Christmas "ends". When Christmas ends, it's like a record scratching because it is just so abrupt. All the decorations come down shortly after, January can feel bleak and dark.

And so I find it at least a little interesting that I am missing Halloween the most in January and the late winter months. Compared to Christmas which I start immediately missing even on Christmas Evening. Halloween evening? Nope I was still excited and looking forward to "next" Halloween.

What's your Halloween thought Tuesday? Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! My Halloween Thought Tuesday is that I kind of wish kids had off that day from school. Growing up it was fun going to school on Halloween excited about that night to go out. But I wonder if it would be more fun being off like for Christmas every year. Have a great day!

My Tuesday Halloween Thought:

Last week it was smell, this week it is sight
Halloween decorations are underated. They don't get the love that Christmas decorations do, but are fun too. I love taking my fall walks at dusk and seeing them. They begin slowly in September and really pick up in October. They really begin what I consider lighted decoration season which takes us through Christmas.

My Halloween Thought Tuesday:

Maybe it's the result of being on MMC for two years now, but to me it just comes natural to think about Halloween in January now. I haven't even really given it a second thought, until today, that is. But honestly, if I told anyone that I worked with that I was already thinking ahead to Halloween season and costumes and decorating for this year, they'd think I was nuts! For me, it's completely normal. I don't see it as any different than, for example, a kid in school looking forward to summer vacation.

My Halloween Thought Tuesday:

My thought actually came to me yesterday. When I was taking the trash bin out to the road, I caught the distinct smell of Fall/Halloween. The oak leaves in this area hang on tight to the trees and there are still a few left to come down. But the ground is now littered with them and the smell of them decaying is very noticeable. It took me right back to October and put a big ole smile on my face.

I think teachers would love to have their students have the day AFTER Halloween off.

My Tuesday Halloween Thought: You know that song with the words "Christmas cookies and holiday hearts, that's the way the holiday starts. Well we need some version for Halloween: Halloween cookies and pumpkin spice, some of each would sure be nice." LOL. A poet I guess I am not.

The snow is all gone and I got a glimpse of last year's pumpkins out on the edge of the field today, they are looking pretty rough but it made me think about how beautiful they were in October, and specifically the sound they made when I tapped on them.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to another edition of MILESTONE DAY!

Today we have reached the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone!

Under three weeks now until the first Jack O Lantern Day of 2023, and now just 80 Days until Spooky Spring. We have entered into single digits on the way towards 100 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN. Keep your eyes on the "Spooky Spring" and the "Halfoween" count. Those I feel are moving the fastest out of any of the counts. How does that work exactly when the flow of time is the "same" across all of our days? Well I don't know but I know it seems to be happening in here on those.

One of the "new" things I wanted to do for milestone days once we got into 2023, was just do a small, simple thing each time to honor our memory and excitement for Fall and Halloween. Today I think I am just going to listen to one or two songs from my Halloween playlist. That can "whet the appetite" until Friday, which is our first "proper" Spooky day coming up!

Have a great day, friends!
