Guess what?! We're getting a Halloween tree! My mother-in-law is getting rid of her slim black Christmas tree and asked if we wanted it. I quickly jumped on that one and suggested to Michelle that we have a Halloween tree this year. To my surprise, she said YES. So on our next trip to Indiana, we'll be bringing it back with us.

That is exciting! Have you started decorating it in your mind yet?

I've had a dozen different scenarios go thru my mind. I feel like a kid with a new toy.

That is great! We have had a small Halloween tree for a few years, it is one that can sit on a table. However, while my wife did not want to keep her white Christmas tree up all year, she did agree to put it up at Halloween and decorate it, themed with Beetlejuice!

No more counts in the 300s. Unreal. Bravo, bonus months.

I am ready for Friday the 13th! No idea what I'll do yet to celebrate, but there will at least be some Halloween music involved! I wish I could still order one of those pizzas in the shape of a pumpkin.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday. We are at another week's end. Heading into the weekend. Even though "October Weekends" have been over for a while now, I always think back to them. Pretty soon we will have Spooky Spring weekends, and I hope that they will feel just like they did in October. In fact the weather for about the past 4 days has been very Spring-like, or October-like depending on your perspective.

Two weeks away now from 100 Days to Halfoween, and just five days out from the 250 Days to Halloween Season milestone!

Have a great day, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! We're under 300 now till Halloween eh? Spooky. Maybe I should pick out my Halloween costume? Ha...and I do keep an eye on any Chucky news. Haven't found anything yet. Hopefully soon. Have a great day!
I read on All Hallows Geek that SyFy had a "Chucky Yule Log" this past Christmas. I don't know if it's still on their app or available elsewhere, but that would have been neat for some Friday the 13th/JOL Day fun.

While I am enjoying the crisp, cleanness of January, I have to admit even though it is less than a week gone, I already miss the Bers.
Oh yeah, I feel it for sure. It's just such a special time. It's why I try so much to just get a "sample" of it every time we do a JOL Day. The real thing is just so, so much more special.

Same.

Honestly for some reason Halloween feels so long ago now...maybe because Christmas took over and we did so much stuff? Not sure but it really feels like it was 6 months ago.
The good thing is that we're far enough removed from it now that I'm ready for it again. Not rushing Halloween, but I am ready for our JOL Days and Spooky Spring for sure.

Happy Saturday Morning! It's not a wonderful October weekend like we day dream about, but the weekend feels good at any time!

Some of the groups I follow on Facebook all made the mention yesterday that January is really the month where we start counting back to October. I believe it! It just goes to show you how many of us Halloween Fans are really out there in the world.

Folks, my thoughts now turn to Friday the 13th, as it will be our first true taste of anything Spooky since Halloween ended in 2022. We're under two weeks to go now until 100 Days to Halfoween, and now just four days away from hitting the 250 Days to Halloween Season milestone. We continue our Journey through January, it's going to be a long one. Thank Goodness we have so many milestone days and things to look forward to this month.

Have a great day, friends!

It's not a bad idea to do in January if you're hibernating.
I think it is a great idea to have activities planned for hibernating in January, I always have some puzzles on hand and if I suspect a Snow Day may be in the cards I will sometimes plan to do a baking or freezer meal prep day. I know there are always plenty of other jobs that I COULD do when it is too cold to want to go outside, but that seems like it isn't appreciating the gift of staying in. @LadyLynn had given me the idea to save a Spooky activity to enjoy during the week after Christmas and I packed away some Halloween stickers to put into the extra eggs I bought on sale after Halloween, but I didn't need the boost then so now I am saving the project for a cold day, a Snow Day, or a 3 Day Weekend when I need something fun to do; add a Halloween show to that and I think I have the perfect Hibernation Activity!

Morning Halloween Fans! Happy Saturday. I'm hoping all of you get to enjoy a little spooky here in January. Even if it's a memory. Or dare I say put on a Halloween show? It's not a bad idea to do in January if you're hibernating. Have a great day!
I think that my Friday the 13th will be celebrated with a couple of Halloween shows. I might watch "The Others," as it's one of those few spooky movies that I can take, and balance it with something lighter such as "Garfield's Halloween." We'll see!

I like suspense movies like the "The Others" and "the House with the Clock in the Wall." But I totally can't take horror movies.

Morning Halloween Fans! No spooky times here but I was looking through my Halloween DVD's yesterday. Yes, from years ago. And I was like why haven't I watched some of these lately? Maybe I will this year. Have a great day!
