Just a quick update! My cousin made it to 3rd place and didn’t advance but I am so very proud of her.
That's too bad. I voted a few times for her.

We had trunk and treat at our church tonight. The little kiddos were so adorable and so were the older kids. I always give a choice of a toy or a candy. I had gotten glow sticks and of course, the teens just loved that. I am not thrilled with going to things like that but once I make myself go, I am always glad I did.

How fun! They have an event here coming up called Pumpkin Lane where the kids trick or treat the businesses. Back in Montana where my daughter grew up I always took her to the local Spook Parade. Our grocery store IGA always passed out the huge Hershey Bars and Chocolate or Strawberry Milk. One year they put a golden ticket in a couple of the bars and my daughter got one. She got to go into the store and pick out some toys from their gift section of Christmas toys. So fun. I sure miss those days!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 13

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Wednesday now. Almost time to let those weekend vibes start rolling in. I love Wednesdays. And I think I've mentioned it before, but I don't know if there is a finer feeling during the week when you get to Thursday afternoon and you realize that you're standing on the doorstep to the weekend. But one day at a time!

You can see from the scary count above, that we are under two weeks to go until Halloween. We'll be in SINGLE DIGITS in just a matter of days, this Sunday to be precise!

Work continues on my end on the 2024 Halloween Countdown Thread. I didn't want to start it early, but like it or not the launch is approaching now in under two weeks and I did not want to "cram" the night before. It's in the early stages now, I just have the list of all of the special days / milestone days and I want to build on from that.

There's no way to slow down time, friends, and I realized at some point over the past few days that even though we are in the peak of Holiday Season right now, I can enjoy every day as much as I can while still making plans for what comes "after". After the season is over. I think I find true joy in the fact that for all these years now, I still get excited about Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, and Jack O Lantern Day, as well as chasing the milestones associated with each holiday. So when you can think about the Holidays all year long and still get joy from them, that is true peace I feel because they are never really "gone".

Have a great day, friends!

Trunk or Treat at church is so much fun. Last year Michelle and I worked the registration table and had so much fun talking to the kids about their costumes. And we got to give them their first piece of candy. Loved all those smiles.

Good evening Halloween fans!

Been super busy but keeping my eye our Halloween Party on the 28th. My wife asked the other if I cared if she bought some additional decorations for the party. I of course said that would be great. Little did I know the extent to which she was buying. Yesterday we had a small fortress of boxes arrive from Amazon from everything she ordered. And I thought I was the crazy one about decorating. LOL

Unfortunately, I have not been watching enough Halloween movies. We just have been so busy. I have been trying to watch something even if we can't as a family, but it is hard. Last night I watched the 2003 remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I saw it several years back but had not watched it since. It was decent, not great, but decent. I am going to try to watch something tonight, but not sure what.

My daughter was supposed to go with me, but she was not having a good day so she couldn't go. Going alone is hard but it is okay once I am there.

I hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 12

Good Morning Halloween Friends. Frost on the pumpkin this morning. It's 34 degrees outside. It was the coldest night / morning since winter ended this year and the early parts of Spooky Spring. I just can't believe we will see single digits to Halloween on Sunday.

If September went by fast, then October is going by faster. I don't know how it's possible. I sure don't think last year went this fast, even with all of the stress I had of being in the hospital and wishing to go home. It's why it's so important to enjoy every single day. We still have some October left, thank goodness.

And it's Thursday. You guys know how much I love Thursdays, and I feel like Thursday afternoons are a great feeling knowing you are standing in front of the weekend. And everybody loves October weekends.

Have a great day, friends!
