Halloween 2023 Countdown!

I think that is just a fun movie to watch.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! At long last it's Friday. Happy Friday to all. The good news is, it looks like I'm going to be able to seal my driveway tomorrow after all. I was getting worried that if I didn't get it done this weekend or next, soon it would be too cold and I'd have to wait until Spring!
Later this weekend, we move into SINGLE DIGITS on our way to Halloween. That is a truly scary number and I think if all of us are being honest, none of us are ready to get that close to "The End". We went to Hobby Lobby last night and bought some new plastic Christmas Ornaments for the Big Tree that is coming out next week. It's our first time decorating it differently in many different years, but it is out of necessity to keep Abigale safe and not accidentally breaking any ornaments that are sharp.
I'm ready for another wonderful October weekend. Nothing else like them in the entire year, IMO! Have a great day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is the very last day of having double digits in our Days left to Halloween count. Tomorrow, we will move into single digits. That's scary.
Pretty soon when it gets a little more light out, I'm heading out to seal the driveway. I got all of the supplies together last night. The actual application itself should only take me around an hour. I learned my lessons from the first time about using a big professional squeegee instead of the small squeegee / brush combo they sell at Lowes / Home Depot, etc.. I'm hoping that this does good and I won't have to do it for a long time. The sealer itself is advertised as 10 years, but I bet we don't get that long because the winters are hard on it using the snowblower / shoveling, etc...
Another Michael Myers marathon is on tonight on AMC. Eyes will be peeled. He is scary but I feel he is the true "mascot" of Halloween season on TV. I have always thought that in a way, him and Dr. Loomis sort of usher in the Christmas Season.

Hello Halloween Fans!
It is a nice cool day, perfect for the Season!
We are putting up more Halloween decorations today to get ready for our party next Saturday night. Later this week I will make some pumpkin bread and probably some pumpkin pie as well.
I agree that Michael Myers is the true mascot/icon of Halloween. I plan on watching several of the Halloween movies this week.

We are putting up more Halloween decorations today to get ready for our party next Saturday night. Later this week I will make some pumpkin bread and probably some pumpkin pie as well.

Good Scary Sunday Morning, Halloween Friends! It's scary because we have now entered into SINGLE DIGITS on the way to Halloween!
I got my driveway done yesterday - boy what a chore. The gel based sealer came out great looking but I think that If I am still in this home when it needs done again (probably 5 - 10 years from now), I am going to go back to the "old school" oil based stuff. Every muscle in my body is sore this morning. I don't get this sore when I run the half marathon!
It looks and feels like autumn out there. The trees everywhere are well on their way to changing colors now, some are already in full colors. And leaves are falling now. Depending on the weather, this might be the last weekend that I truly cut grass. There will be a few more weeks of leaf cleanup for sure.
When my chores are done with today, I'm going to finally relax and take another wonderful trip to Hogwarts and enjoy some Harry Potter. I don't like to think about it a lot, but the time is coming unfortunately pretty soon that I will really be missing the place.

Evening Halloween Fans! It's been a quiet weekend here. We have a small event local tonight for Halloween. It's kind of a mini escape room type thing? I think. It's new. Next Sunday is my main event (the Halloween Trail I found last year that blew away any trail I've ever been on). Happy Halloween!
