Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

Cannot believe our final Tom Turkey day!
Happy Gobble Gobble! My thoughts have veered the last day or two into Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Of course Thanksgiving meal being one of those thoughts. We will not host Thanksgiving this year but I will cook some kind of Thanksgiving meal on the holiday weekend when we decorate for just ourselves. Since I was disappointed I did not get those smoked turkey legs at the covered bridge festival in September, I will be making them that holiday weekend. I have been thinking about those smoked legs since September. Lol. Less than one month I will finally have them.
Of course Thanksgiving meal being one of those thoughts. We will not host Thanksgiving this year but I will cook some kind of Thanksgiving meal on the holiday weekend when we decorate for just ourselves. Since I was disappointed I did not get those smoked turkey legs at the covered bridge festival in September, I will be making them that holiday weekend. I have been thinking about those smoked legs since September. Lol. Less than one month I will finally have them.
Happy hot Thursday all! Almost time to let the gravy flow and rolls to burn. Kids are all jacked up for Halloween to get here and I head out for Mule deer soon after they get home.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 5
Happy Spooky TGIF! Today folks we have 27 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 5 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be the Arrival of November and the culmination of our 2nd of 3 countdowns. It will happen in 5 days (or the day after Halloween). Oh man I can’t wait but I don’t want to rush there because I want to take in Halloweekend big time. We move along in our Awesome Autumn feeling more like summer the last couple of days. And we move into our quiet 3-day weekend period here in this thread. Friday always kicks it off and we enjoy it as much as we can right? And it’s good to take a break after the last 4 days were busy, busy, busy. Looks like we have a great thing in this thread going. And hope to continue it right up until Thanksgiving. Not thinking of anything beyond that but I am looking for feedback here or you can PM me from now till Thanksgiving about any additions/changes you’d like to see in this thread. Now turkey fans I hope you all have had a great week thus far and that your Friday is fantastic. And that you enjoy it as much as you can. Enjoy the warm weather if you’re experiencing. We had 90 in April this year a few times and 80 in October. Kind of strange. Have a great Spooky TGIF!

Happy Halloweekend! Today folks we have 26 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 4 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be the Arrival of November (our 2nd goal) on Wednesday. Folks we move along in our Awesome Autumn enjoying right…where…we…are. Talk about hitting the brakes now is the perfect time to do it. We need a slow Halloweekend so we can enjoy the Halloween season at its fullest now that we are right close to the big day. And of course, we know in this thread our time will be NEXT. I know. It’s hard to think about right now. I am really focused on Halloween of course but as a fan of Thanksgiving and the reason I started this thread is because of how I know that Thanksgiving is so not talked about enough. And it’s true. Our time is coming gobblers. We move along in our Awesome Autumn and Day 2 of 3 in our quiet 3-day weekend period. And I hope all of you will enjoy it as much as you can. I mentioned this morning in the main Christmas thread, that you can really feel a vibe / energy this weekend. The Halloweekend is obviously strong, but I don't think the next time we will feel something like this is until the weekend before Thanksgiving. Obviously the weekend before Christmas has this kind of "buzz", but maybe it feels a little different? Either way, I think there is magic in the air right now.

Happy Halloween Trail! Today folks we have 25 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 3 days to go until November. Our next milestone will happen on Wednesday when we reach our 2nd of 3 destinations which is the Arrival of November. Incredible. But we still have our ULTIMATE destination and what this thread is all about still in front of us. Good thing for that. Turkey fans we move along in our Awesome Autumn and the 3rd (and final) part of our 3 day weekend quiet style here in this thread. Well tonight won’t be quiet. I’ll be at my Halloween Trail. The 2nd annual one that has become such a big thing after only 1 year. We were blown away by it and honestly it made our old trail seem like a little nothing compared to what we had last year. But this isn’t the Halloween Thread. It is the Thanksgiving Thread. And it is absolutely amazing to be here with all of you. We’ll have plenty of awesome stuff this coming week as you know Monday through Thursday as we do every single week. Turkey fans enjoy your Sunday of fun, football and whatever else you have planned for this day. I wish you the best today and that you have a great 2nd part of your weekend. Happy Halloween Trail! Today folks we have 25 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 3 days to go until November. Our next milestone will happen on Wednesday when we reach our 2nd of 3 destinations which is the Arrival of November. Incredible. Hard to believe November arrives this week. I think October flew by. I was looking at the calendar, and luckily for us, November has five weeks which I think will make Autumn feel a little longer.
