Good spooky evening, MMCers. Halloween night falls over Grove Manor, and, as always, I'm sitting in the dark in the front room, drinking hot chocolate, writing this post, and listening for the Holiday Spirits to come blowing in with the cold front moving in tonight. You've got to have cold weather to have the Holidays, right? Amazing how these things work out.
The pumpkin blazes on the front porch, the same stereotypical face for the last 40 years. He's like an old friend. Every so often I'll amble to the street to scan for Trick or Treaters. I probably won't see a one. But there's something else in the air, and those of us who love the Season enough to participate in the site know exactly what it is. It's arriving tonight. It's very welcome.
Happy Halloween, friends. And Happy Holidays.
