Happy Double Digits July! Today folks we move along and see we have 141 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 114 days left until November, and 53 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Saturday when we welcome in the 50-Day Marker till The Bers and all the fun will begin in the Holiday Hang Out. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with a question as we are in the Dog Days of Summer. Let’s see today’s Weekly Wednesday Poll about weather!

With the Dog Days of Summer being here which of the below is worse than the dog days of summer’s heat/humidity?​

• I’m going with A. I’ll take this weather over the winter weather any time. But obviously I love spring/autumn weather a bit more than the summer heat/humidity when it gets to be too much which it seems to be trying to do this summer for some of us. I think "C" is my answer. Winter doldrums have a totally different feel, you might be battling PCB's or PFHB's, but you can bundle up and maybe do something outdoors. This type of dangerous heat you can't really do anything but hide inside. It's dangerous to be outside for any kind of extended period. And being "trapped" inside during Summer you can totally get a cabin fever type thing going on. That's my answer. I might be the oddball in today's poll. Have a great day!

I am going A for the first time this year. I was always a C person but it really has changed this year for me. The heat and humidity are not bothering me last past years. I think a lot has to do with weight loss and getting older, but a big underrated part was mental.

I'm an A on this one. Even though I have not lived up north for over 20 years now, I still can't stand the cold. I'll take this hot weather over that any day.

Happy 7-11! Today folks we have 140 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 113 days left until November and 52 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the day after tomorrow which will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with today’s Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!
The sweat will make Thanksgiving better. Do you agree? The hotter the summer the more anticipation there will be for Autumn. I truly believe that. I’m telling myself that through this very hot summer so far.

Turkey friends I hope you are having a good week so far. But I know you are all enjoying your summer so far and anticipating what’s to come at the Hang Out on Saturday. It’s going to be a fun 50 days for sure. Turkey friends have a great time today and do the best you can to enjoy this Thursday which isn’t quite Thanksgiving, but we know in 20 weeks it will be. Have a great time and be safe out there in the heat and humidity. Summer is hitting us hard this year and will continue I believe. Sweaty. Have a great 7-11!​

I here you. I would ideally like to be a snow bird but I will have to see how feasible that would be in retirement. South in the winter and North in the summer would be perfect!

I miss @The_Escalation and his 72 hour countdown memes that always signify something major happening. I know he is dealing with family and post-hurricane stuff, but we always notice when one of our "regulars" are not around as often as normal.

Next week should be much better, though. This week, not only did we have the hurricane to contend with, but I also had to bring my wife back to the doctor, and she's having surgery next week on Tuesday. Our kids also did VBS at church this week (one as a volunteer and the other as an attendee), so life is definitely happening here in the Escalation household.

We move along in our Summer Sweatfest here (almost halfway now) with lots of sweat this summer but today we have our Fun Fact Friday below!

9 hours and 27 minutes.

This is the amount of time it takes for an average male to burn 4,500 calories. That second slice of pie is worth it, though!

Does it really take that long to burn that many calories? I guess that sounds right. That’s a whole lot of calories. Do you really want to burn all of them though? We need calories. But anyway, it is worth it. Thanksgiving Dinner is like my favorite dinner of the entire year. Not much can compete with it. Turkey friends I hope you enjoy your day today. I've always heard it said that Thanksgiving calories don't count, so with that in mind, I tend to indulge myself on Thanksgiving Day.

I would be surprised if I only ate 4500 calories on Thanksgiving day. It has to be nearer to 10,000.
