.....And my alma mater was ECU, not exactly ACC material!.....
Hey! It's North Carolina!

Good Morning, Weekend Wanderers and Christmas Lovers.

I hope everyone is feeling better than our weather looks. We have a steady rain falling at this hour here in Raleigh where our temp stands at 57.
It is supposed to rain all day with more tomorrow, then possible snow for Monday.
Winter is not yet ready to let us go!

The count:
Days to the Season: 258
Days to Christmas Day:300
OK, Friends! The 300-Day Christmas Day window is here and wide open, letting in the view to March and the 1/3 Season mark just ahead.
My, the time is racing by, isn't it?

Have a Stupendous Saturday, Everyone.
I hope your Weekend is off to a Wonderous start.
Get ready to welcome a new month tomorrow - a month that will see Spring arrive along with another countdown milestone!

cheesy It's my mom's birthday today. We're heading over before noon for a visit and to bring her some presents and a funny card.

Well, this morning when O'Malley woke me up by feeling under the door for signs of life and softly mewing, I smiled and said to myself, "we're under 300 days now".

Another milestone behind us and another one on the way. :hello:

299 days?? :o UNBELIEVABLE!!! Man the time is flying! I can't believe it's Sunday already - seems like it was just noon on Friday!!! (I get off at noon on Fridays now - they cut hours b/c of low work! :()

Hope you are all having a great weekend! It's a bitter cold one here!!!!

So I hear!
It's cold and rainy outside right now, with our temp standing at 37.
They say we could get 2-4 inches of the white stuff tonight and tomorrow morning. (We have not had measurable snow here in March in 16 years!)

With that said, Good Morning, Everybody!
A new month is here and 4 digits have moved in our count since yesterday:
Days to the Season: 257
Days to Christmas Day:299
Wow! Under 300 to Christmas Day.
And the 1/3 Season milestone is just around the corner. (Two weeks from today, in fact!)
The year is going by so fast!

Have a Super Sunday, Christmas Comrades.
Get all rested up to begin moving another week closer to Christmas Season 2009 tomorrow!

I get the Gaston Gazette by email and the news is that Gaston County could get six inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Man, I wish I were "home" in NC!!!

Woo Hoo! 299 days to go!!

My husband and I love to visit San Francisco--many great restaurants, especially Italian. I forgot to add previously that I also love opera. I went to see Les Miserables and Phantom in SF. And I love the Three Tenors and Il Divo in addition to Andrea Bocelli.

:merry:

We ended up with about 5 inches in my yard...some places got much more, some places got virtually none. Weird but i love it.

Please post pics. The last snow we had here in California where we live was in 1989. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

I took some during the night and this am...i am not a good photog and not tech savy at all but i will try and load them tonight.......

Also......One of the countdowns I have in my own mind is the first of Spetember....in my head that is when fall starts and we start toward Halloween and the following Holidays. I just realized that I'm half way there!

1st of Sept. is always a date that I look forward to as well! It's when I start decorating for fall and I get really excited for the upcoming holidays. It's a great time of year.
