Happy Thanksgiving! Welcome to the Thanksgiving 2025 Thread. A little different this year I'm not going to list all of the milestones because we know them and as we go along I'll bring your attention to the next one. And I think that needs to be our focus is one at a time. Really this thread is about 3 countdowns as you know. Thanksgiving (of course), November (big) and The Bers. Now you may say we're still in The Bers (and we are) but as others have said before to me The Bers is fall and although we're still in fall the holiday season takes over and The Bers have a new meaning for the rest of the year. So therefore we do countdown to The Bers starting day 1 in this thread as always. Below is a quick summary for any newbies of how our seasons work.

November 28 - December 31 = Happy Holidays
January 1 - March 19 = Winter Doldrums
March 20 - May 23 = Stress Free Spring
May 24 - August 31 = Summer Sweatfest
September 1 - November 27 = Awesome Autumn

Below is a list of how our days of the week work.
Monday = Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week
Tuesday = Picture Day
Wednesday = Poll Day
Thursday = Thanksgiving Thought
Friday = Fun Fact
Saturday/Sunday = Quiet Weekend Period

As we begin this year-long journey together I want to thank you for your support. Without you I would not be able to do this. And I mean that. Also, last year we had an extra week in the countdown to start so realize that although we joke it's 350+ days away which is forever don't take any day lightly. As you saw we somehow wound up here on Thanksgiving Day today.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello and Happy Friday! Joining the new Thanksgiving 2025 Thread was top of my to-do list today! I hope everybody enjoyed their Thanksgiving, I am looking forward to this thread and the year ahead.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 363
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 337
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 276

Happy Black Friday! Today folks we begin our BRAND NEW THREAD officially with our first day of counting down. Now you may notice that we have 3 countdowns instead of 1. That is because we started all over again. We have 363 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 337 days left until November, and 276 days to go until The Bers. We start things off with our first milestone which will arrive on Sunday. Yes, the day after tomorrow my friends we have the Arrival of December and the 11-month journey back to November begins all over again. It’s Fun Fact Friday my friends so let’s look below at our first one for this thread!

How much glitter is typically used during the Macy's Thanksgiving parade
Answer: Over 300 pounds

I love Fun Fact Friday. Don’t you? The Macy’s Parade yesterday was amazing. As always, I did DVR it so I can go back and watch some when I get the chance to. Turkey friends we’re here together. It’s a new thread. This isn’t a sad day. It’s a HAPPY day. We’re in the Christmas Season. And we get to be here all year long till next Thanksgiving together daily. Have a great Black Friday!

Happy day after Thanksgiving and Black Friday all. Well as usual I felt like utter crud after eatting last night. It was a record year..3 turkeys and a ham, 6 lbs of bacon I smoked with corncobs, 15 lbs of spuds and enough stuffing to fill a childs swimming pool..lol. I kept 1 turkey recipe back for Christmas...its a deboned turkey wrapped in bacon and glazed with brown sugar Jack Daniels mix.

And so it begins. The joy of counting down to one of our favorite holidays. Happy Black Friday everyone.

Sounds like a record Thanksgiving!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 362
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 336
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 275

Happy November Finale! Today folks we move along and see that we have 362 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 336 days to go until November and 275 days until we reach The Bers. We move along with our first milestone arriving tomorrow on Sunday. It will be the Arrival of December. Pretty incredible isn’t it? I think it’s an amazing thing for sure to reach our first milestone so soon. But I am happy about it. It’s Quiet Weekend Period #1 my friends of this thread and Part 1 of 2 for this current weekend. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their holiday weekend. This is a very special time of year. And everyone forgets about us in this thread except…us in this thread. And that’s not to say we want to be on next Thanksgiving already (or even next November or even next Bers). But we also love being here all year together. And I hope all of you continue to have a great time here as we move along in our Happy Holidays portion of our thread. This is a very special time of year and Thanksgiving brought us to where we are. I will try to post some final Thanksgiving Week thoughts on Sunday. Because technically we are still in this Thanksgiving Week for this year. And a lot of great things really made me realize how this week and this month is better than we even realize. Turkey friends gobble gobble to all of you. Have a great November Finale!

Happy Saturday! I'm in day 2 of the "Christmas Bers". Fall / Autumn Bers as far as I am concerned are "over" for another season. Just feels too different now.

Have a great day!

Hello! After eating leftovers for lunch today, I am going to put whatever else is left into the freezer or toss it, I consider that the official end of Thanksgiving 2024. I have a bit more decorating to do and I am hoping to do some organizing in the storage closet. After that, who knows.

This Thanksgiving was one of the best I can remember. It was wonderful having my niece and her husband here helping and adding to the cheer. They are always full of happiness and both very funny and fun-loving humans.

They were so appreciative of all the food I made. They may be coming for another short visit in January because their home that they lost in Madeira Beach got all the permits and reconstruction has begun. For now, they're back in East Aurora, NY at their main home celebrating the holidays with their children and grandchildren.

I miss them already.
