I wish everyone a great Tuesday! Had trouble sleeping last night so I woke up cranky. I plan on working out this morning - that always improves my mood!! Then the rest of the day it is nothing but trying to catch up on things. I need to be done in time to watch the Tigers play tonight. Enjoyed yesterday's game even though they got slaughtered. I so love baseball!!!

No kidding, the road I was driving down had a dark cloud the entire way home and it rained on me. On either side of the road it was bright and sunny. cheesy

Cool! I had something similar happen to me only it involved snow.

HEY- HERE COMES 1500 for me... just like yesterday when I saw 1500 at christmas.com.. sob.. oh my- where we( well almost all of us..) met.. the old guard... sob.. yabba
Congratulations, my coffee-saturated friend.
And yes I remember the old Christmas.com days.
"Old times there are not forgotten....."

Good Morning!

It is calm and sunny out under a Carolina blue sky!!
Marvelous victory last night! (Sorry, Bing and other Michigan St fans - better luck in 2010)

A bit chilly here this morning with my thermometer showing 46 degrees at this hour.
Only low 50's predicted for a high today then down to a teeth-chattering 30 tonight. It will feel like winter has made a surprise re-appearance!

The count:
Days to the Season: 220
Days to Christmas Day:262
Hey, look! We're really closing in on that 200-day window.
How is that possible??

Have a Terrific Tuesday Friends, be you Carolina blue, MSU green or any other color of the sports rainbow!

It's unseasonably cold down here in south Georgia, too. It's only supposed to get into the low 50's today. My pecan trees had just started budding, too! Well, maybe they can hold on.

Good Tuesday to you all!cheesy

Hope your pecan trees survive, Brad! This is the first time in years that the fruit and nut trees in our mini orchard haven't bloomed yet - good thing as it is very cold today!

:-? I picked up a can of snowbegone at the store, it didn't work. I want my money back.

Will there ever be an Easter here without snow so I can take pictures of a Spring Easter Egg Hunt in the grass?

We had six days of Spring and the snow returned.

Newsflash ... :hello:
Funny thing happened at work ... go to the Merry Christmas Radio section to learn more ...

Congrats on drinking enough coffee to keep those fingers tapping away Binger!

Work tomorrow and I'm off for four days. Have to work Monday though.

Good morning to everyone!
Hope you all have a Happy Wednesday!
Waking up with a cuppa...nice and black and hot! Ahhh... :-)

Good Morning!

Got up early today, don't know why, just did. So I have put a batch of biscuits in the oven to bake for breakfast, cooking eggs for an egg salad for lunch. Now I still have an hour before work, so aside from being here, I am getting a cup of tea!
Have a great day all.
Only 260 days till Christmas!!!!!
:snowball:

Good morning and a Wonderful Wednesday to all!! I got up early, too, Christmasstar! Since I gave coffee up for Lent I'm having chocolate milk for my wake-up drink, though. The sun is shining so I think I'll go for a long walk today - need to take advantage of the beautiful weather while it lasts.

Good Morning, One and All.
Rise, shine and smell the coffee. (Smell - don't drink. Save your drinkin' for that sweet, sweet Southen Tea!)

Another bright, sunny and chilly one here in Raleigh where we currently stand at a too-cool-for-April 41 degrees.
Warm weather is just over the horizon, or so the weather sevice promises.

Our mid-week count:
Days to the Season: 219
Days to Christmas Day:261
Barely over 2 1/2 weeks now to the 1/3 Christmas Day marker.
Really moving right along!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone.
Holiday - it's a date. Meet me at the Shispering Pines. Carl will give us a ride through the trees as we gaze at that lovely view to the weekend from the peak-of-the-week.

Days to Christmas Day:261

are you on different time zone from me? Every time you post "days till Christmas", it is always a day more than what shows up on the counter at the top of my screen. Today mine said 260 days and yours says 261.
Just puzzled as to why there is a difference.
:-?

Thought for the day from Washington Irving, writing in 1820:
There is something in the very season of the year that gives a charm to the festivity of Christmas. At other times we derive a great portion of our pleasures from the mere beauties of Nature. Our feelings sally forth and dissipate themselves over the sunny landscape, and we "live abroad and everywhere." The song of the bird, the murmur of the stream, the breathing fragrance of spring, the soft voluptuousness of summer, the golden pomp of autumn, earth with its mantle of refreshing green, and heaven with it deep delicious blue and its cloudy magnificence, — all fill us with mute but exquisite delight, and we revel in the luxury of mere sensation. But in the depth of winter, when Nature lies despoiled of every charm and wrapped in her shroud of sheeted snow, we turn for our gratifications to moral sources. The dreariness and desolation of the landscape, the short gloomy days and darksome nights, while they circumscribe our wanderings, shut in our feelings also from rambling abroad, and make us more keenly disposed for the pleasure of the social circle. Our thoughts are more concentrated; our friendly sympathies more aroused. We feel more sensibly the charm of each other's society, and are brought more closely together by dependence on each other for enjoyment. Heart calleth unto heart, and we draw our pleasures from the deep wells of loving-kindness which lie in the quiet recesses of our bosoms, and which, when resorted to, furnish forth the pure element of domestic felicity.

If you looked closely this morning, you would have noticed the counter read 260 days PLUS over 12 hours. I round off to the nearest day.
If I was to post the count in the afternoon, I would round down to the nearest day.
(This is all based on Eastern Daylight Savings Time, where I live.)
Of course, for those of you in Europe, it would already be later in the day.

I am watching soccer right now...Champion´s League Quarter Final....1. FC Barcelona against my beloved 1. FC Bayern Munich......

FC BAYERN FOREVER NUMBER 1......at least in my heart....:D
