Hope Y´all are doing alright. We are going to drive up to the clinik where my grandpa is.....it´s his 80th. birthday....and in 4 weeks it will be my grandparent´s 60th wedding anniversary....I love them so much and am so glad to have them both so close to see them all the time

good morning!

going to be a great day! Spending most of it in the park since that is where I have to take a group today.Bringing a lunch, my camera and a good book.
Enjoy your day everyone! cheesy

Morning everyone. Lastnight my daughter's softball game got called in the second inning due to the rain. She has a game tonight too but rain is in the forecast so we shall see. If the game is a wash out tonight maybe I'll give her a Christmas craft to do to keep her busy.

Another day closer! Have a great day!

Christmas star- it was Crown whos wiped your socks.....
Well, I tried to wipe them, but the coffee stains from Binger's spill were too severe. (Tried using their tears but still no luck.)

Good Morning, Guys.
And welcome back, Jay.
(I'm seeing less and less of the old-timers these days!)

Storms last evening. In fact, some tornadoes in the surrounding counties.
No death reports so far and no damage in Raleigh. But more storms possible over the next several days.
We currently stand at 66 under overcast skies. (Or is that over undercast skies? Hmmm....)

The mid-week count:
Days to the Season: 191
Days to Christmas Day:233
And believe it or not we are down to single digits to the half-way Season milestone. Wow.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, fellow Christmas Comrades.
And Holiday, can you believe it - already back to the peak-of-the-week again - and the weekend view looks great, even with the storm clouds!

Good morning, everyone!

My son's game got called due to rain yesterday, too. I'm dissapointed for him, but we really needed the rain.

I just heard that a church member of our passed away last night. We go to a VERY small, close church. He was my Men's Breakfast cooking partner. David was a great man with a beautiful family. He'd been struggling for several months now. We'll all miss him very much.

Sorry, not trying to bring down the mood!

It's supposed to be a great day today, clearing later in the lower 80's. Not bad!

Good Wednesday, everyone!

Sorry for your loss. I, too, experienced loss this week so I know how you feel. I found out about the death of my best friend whom I have known since our "diaper days," so he and I have been friends more than 60 years! It sometimes seems unusual for a male and female friendship to be that close for that long. Maybe it's just that it makes me feel my own mortality! Hang in there. Remember the Reason for the Season.

hey all!

i'm on a high because my cousin has just given birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy. she hasn't picked a name for him yet, she doesn't like any!

hope you are all well? can't believe we are in may. seriously, i remember christmas day 2008 like it was last week, not 5 months ago!

Congrats to your cousin..that is great news cheesy you will have to share a picture and the name of the baby when she decides. I have the hardest time with boy names also!

Not much going on around here today. It is cloudy and calling for rain again so I will stick close to home and try to get some laundry done. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

You bet I go out for Mexican. Last night was an Elks Lodge meeting and the kitchen crew made spicy pork enchilidas and mild chicken enchilidas with rice and beans. Yummo! I tell my Mexican students that they celebrate Cinco de Mayo because it's my B-Day. They finally realize that I am only kidding them, especially when I tell them to ask their parents!
