Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

Merry Monday all! Been busy as a bee lately. We took off for the track Friday morning and had to turn around because it got cancelled for weather. Lots of regular business to keep everyone miserable. Turkey season was a success here. I had to setup propane cannons to keep the deer out of the peanut fields once they start growing. I even have a field planted with clover to sacrifice to keep them busy...they arent falling for it this year.

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Today folks we move along and see that we have 205 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 180 days left until November and 119 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone set to arrive on Sunday with the 200 Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It will happen on Mother’s Day. It’s Tuesday folks so time for Picture Day. This has become a staple for us here in this thread on Tuesdays. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Tuesday. Share those pictures of Autumn/Thanksgiving here and let us all look at those wonderful sights that we can take in together. I hope everyone is doing well this Tuesday and that your week got off to a good start yesterday. It was a beautiful day here. More spring like and today may be borderline summer like which I’ll take as we continue in and out of cooler weather for May but cooler in May is like cooler in September. It feels good. Sometimes you wonder why we don’t get that in the 3 big summer months of June, July and August. The best to you my turkey friends. I do, and there are years that I am tired of preparing it.
No! Not me! I look forward to the turkey every year. It's the only time I ever eat it. We always mix up Christmas dinner, but turkey only comes once a year. I sure do get tired of having to make an entire feast all by myself every year. Hmm....maybe that's why I only eat it once a year, lol.

A.) Take time off and relax.
B.) Take a vacation away to a destination.
C.) Work the whole summer and stay inside in A/C.
D.) Get to the beach as often as I can in my shorts and flip flops.
I’m going with A. I don’t plan to go away but I do have a bunch of time planned off like every summer and mostly want to do things locally and relax some also. I’m not a beach person really so I can’t select D despite the summer wear being appropriate. Turkey friends enjoy your day. Have a great May Mid-Week!

Happy Wednesday Morning! I think my Summer plans are really just A), because I'm going to be off a week or so when Holly has her surgery in June, so most of June will be just relaxing and recovering. The good news is, when we are fully healthy afterwards, it will likely be July and that means we will be ready for the "final" Non-Bers holiday of the year, July 4th!
