brrrrr, it is getting cold! I am getting a nice hot cup of tea to warm up. Temp is 16c (about 52f)
We are heading out for some camping starting Wednesday, so I hope they are right about it warming up!

the first day of school, I had a hard time sending my first off to school and I think I did cry a bit. By the time my third on started it was, yeah!!! they are all in school, i have time to my self!!! cheesy

my daughter starts on the 8th, we are moving her in this week. Going to pick up the keys tomorrow and drop off some stuff, and then take the rest on Friday when her uncle can come with the trailer.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! It's chilly here this morning - 47°! I went for a walk & now I can't warm up! It didn't get out of the 60's yesterday so I made a big pot of soup & it was soooo good... it's really starting to feel like fall!!!

It is a beautiful sunny morning here in Ontario. Lots to do this week. School starts tomorrow, get to drive a talking school bus. They put in a new alarm / anti theft device that actually talks to you. When anyone enters the bus it comes on in about a min and says "please sit down, the authorities have been notified!" Of course it shuts off as soon as the bus is started, at which time it says "the child check mate system is now activated" It is so weird to have the bus "talk". When the back door is opened it says "the emergency door is open!"
Could have fun with the kids though, let them get on the bus and watch the reaction when it starts talking to them! cheesy

Hi guys!!! 75 days to go!!! How cool is that!!! I've been along for the ride as we countdown minutes rather than days to the countdown and I sincerely hope to do it again! Realtime with Binger and Crown and the rest of the countdown junkies! What could be better??? September starts tomorrow and Fall will follow shortly thereafter...I think Fall my be may favorite season!

It does seem like there is a change in the atmosphere once you reach September - like we are really starting to get focused on moving into the holiday season.

Good morning, everyone!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend. Good news, Like star said, It's beautiful here in Ontario. Clear skies and Fall air have arrived in Ottawa. I have not been outside yet but it appears to be a Fall day. One more day until September! Anyway, I am off today and do not start my position with the Canadian Dental Association until tomorrow. I am looking forward to it.

Plenty of things to do today. I really should be getting ready right now but I had to come and check the countdown. Hopefully I can complete everything within a couple hours. Classes at Carleton do not start until September 10th, but I do not have any Thursday or Friday classes, so I do not begin until September 14th, which is a sweet deal.

74 more days to go? The Season is right around the extra long bend! That seems like nothing. By the end of the week we will be in the 60s, which is fantastic! Of course, the next milestone will be an accomplishment as well. Have a great Monday everyone. I hope that I can still check in at my new job!

Good Monday morning, everyone!

My son's birthday party Friday was a success...for him, anyway! He had 4 other boys spend the night and they played video games till 4:00 am. Nancy finally told them they had to go to bed. At 7:00, they were back at it. Of course, by 9:00 pm that night, my son was about to pass out from lack of sleep LOL!

Other than that, it was a normal weekend. High in the low 90's. I'm jealous of all the low temps that are being reported here!

Oh, yeah. I had to cut down a huge pine tree yesterday. It was dying, and threatening to fall on my mom's neighbor's house, so my uncle and I cut it down. It fell right where we planned, too!

Thanks for the support! Oddly enough, I acquired a job at the Canadian Dental Association prior to leaving Health Canada for a final time. It's exactly what I want, too! 21.5 hours per week while taking three classes in my second last semester of university and playing sports. It is perfect, really. I'll be doing more data entry - as I was at Health Canada - but the job pays all right and I could not ask for more convenient hours. Hooray!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Is it really the last day of August? Where has the year gone. The weather here is beautiful. High's in the low 70's. Yesterday I decided to go to a state park and do some hiking with a couple of friends. It was perfect out and the park was packed. I have some paperwork to do today for work and that is about it. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
