We usually have snow starting in November through March! Every once in awhile we'll get snow in October! I remember in October of '89 ~ leaves were still on the tree's & it snowed so much overnight it stuck to the leaves, bogging down the branches onto electrical wires & everyone was out of electric! I was livinig in an apartment (in college) with 2 other girls & we were COMPLETELY surprised when we looked out the window & saw ALL WHITE in the morning!! They weren't calling for snow! CRAZY but very cool!!! :dance:
In northwest Ohio, we get our first snow usually in the second half of November, and our last snow in the first half of March. So, we have snow about 3-1/2 months.
At my other home, in Madison, Wisconsin, the first snow comes usually in late October, and the last snow comes in early April — 5-1/2 months of snow! (But the snow usually doesn't accumulate until late November; the ground is still too warm until then.)

In Pa. we usually don't get snow until Nov. (last year we got it on Oct. 28th) and we usually get the last of it in March.

Yea, finally September. It's been really chilly here lately so I feel like fall is already in full swing. I love it! I got some good news today and I have to share. I started my anatomy classes and my teacher is not very good at all. I studied my butt off all week and took 2 tests on Sat. I was sure that I didn't do that well on them but I was confident that I did better than most of the class. I emailed my professor and he said that I got a 96% A on my test!!! I was so excited I ran around the house yelling!!cheesy
oh I get it.. Fall.. as in September.. Fall.. allllll ahhhahahha YABBA

We usually don't get snow until december and last snow in march. I have seen it snow as early as oct. and as late as may.
The first snow fall usually happens near the beginning of November here in Ottawa. It's not surprising to receive something in late October, however. With that said, the snow usually does not stay until any time in December as it varies from year-to-year.
Good evening everyone. Tomorrow is certainly a milestone in its own right. Two weeks until 100? Wow! It's practically back-to-back fake milestones with today being the first day of September!
I started my new job today with the Canadian Dental Association. It seems pretty simple but I miss my previous co-workers at Health Canada. I hope to get to work with them once again. Plenty of good times! I may not get to post a whole lot from work due to the fact that they are known to monitor their bandwidth. We'll see what I can do though.
Glad to see that everyone is in good spirits regarding September. The Season is approaching! I dipped down to about 42 degrees last night here in Ottawa and was a very chilly morning. The day warmed up to about 74, so we are starting to get those varying temperatures that seasonable changes bring.
Anyway, I agree with you, Star. I want one more week as well. I am scheduled to either return back home to the Sault for the weekend and have a beautiful time at my camp or go to a friend's cottage nearby. It's a tough decision, but I just want the weather to be nice so we can have one more kick at summer. The forecast is still calling for warmth, so we may be in luck!

Hi everyone! I hit a personal milestone today! I single-handedly earned the bookstore top marks from corporate. I helped the secret shopper and they said I was excellent! This made my day (and probably my week)!
cheesyHi everyone, got on here late. Went to see G.I. Joe with my 5 yr. old for his Bday today. It was pretty cold here lastnight. Kind of excited about cooler weather but know it just gets colder and colder.

It's that time of day (night) again....long hard day at work, afternoon chores complete, supper complete, and everything is ready for tomorrow. Coffee consumed and now it's getting that time. As can be plainly told, two weeks from today marks an even 100 days to Christmas Day.
Then BOTH of our counts will be down to double-digits.

Calm, sunny and only 63 degrees here in Raleigh at this hour.
We had a truly delightful day yesterday, with lower temps and humidity with no rain. It should be dry again today and possibly for the rest of the week.
