Well today is another beautiful one here in central indy. The plan for today is to listen to a conference call for work this afternoon. Not much else going on here today. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is the "snow" stuff you guys are speaking of? I don't think we have anything likes that down here in south GA. :-?

Beautiful day in Ottawa today. It reached the high 70s and everyone said it was one of nicest days of the year. I have just returned from the gym and I know I am certainly going to be quite sore again tomorrow. Oh well, it's worth it!
114 days? Two weeks from today? Both in double digits? My excited smile gets bigger and bigger each day. Hopefully everyone is looking forward to the weekend. The "final" long weekend of summer is nearly upon us. I am only working Tuesday to Thursday at my new job, so it appears that every weekend will be long for me from now on. Hooray! This one, of course, will be extra long!
Anyway, I am rambling, but I hope everyone has had a fantastic day and enjoys their night.

Well....as I sit here drinking coffee and look forward to the weekend...I'm trying to make plans on what to do.....until I turn on the TV and one of the all-time remote stoppers (and I don't know why), Dante's Peak, has grabbed me....I guess that's the ol' science teacher in me coming out....anything about volcanoes, earthquakes, comets....i get stuck...anyways....talk to yall later...have a great day tomorrow!

G'Morning All!
Good morning everyone! Hope that you have a wonderful Thursday 
I'm off to the first MOPS meeting of the year and hopefully it goes well. I'm taking a pumpkin crunch cake that I made last night. It smelled sooooo good in my house, I could hardly resist eating it right then! I hope everyone likes it. It is a new recipe, but the reviews were all amazing!
Its actually supposed to get to 80 today. First time in about a week. I am loving the weather that we have been having! Yay! I can only pray it lasts, but I think that may be asking too much. I saw a screen shot of the Farmer's Almanac and the Missouri area of the map was in the "Colder than usual and Snowy" section. Doh
I don't enjoy snow, but at least maybe we'll get a white Christmas.
On other news - While I am normally a sweet tea drinker, I do have to mention that Starbucks has the pumpkin spice latte released for the season again! Yay! It really is time for fall!

In explanation:
In the five days leading up to the begining of the Christmas Season (Nov 13) we like to place special posts, one for each day, Nov 8 through Nov 12.
There is one volunteer for each day.
Unlike our wide-ranging posts that occur throughout the year, these special posts deal directly with Christmas or the Christmas Season. They can be along the lines of "what Christmas means to me", a funny Christmas-related story, a Christmas time memory, a poem, etc - as long as it deals with our favorite holiday.
For ideas, and to get a feel for the concept, you could look at the 2008 Chrismas Countdown thread for those days last year.
We have plenty of time between now and Nov 8, so anyone wanting to volunteer can think it over.
Alway a fun period!
