WOW 36 days to go im 2/3rds the way of having the display all up AND I GOT THE TRAIN RUNNING!!!! YEAH!!!. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS COME ON DEC 9th if it all goes well. with all the glitches i have had this season its been rough creating magic this season. hopefully next year i will get the ICe skating pond working and the animated all working too.
BTW i just picked up an animated deer head. gotta find a way to add this to my display!!!

Ha! My wife does the same thing when I mosey over to the Christmas decorations in each store.

It's impossible not to smile and feel overwhelmed with anything like that. It just has that special meaning like nothing else.

...ok I have a question, Were you on a tv program (do not remember what it's called) but it was to do with Christmas displays, and I swear there was a man on that show, that looked exactly like your dispaly picture... His display was absolutly magnificent...and I am just wondering if that was you??:yahoo:

Made....whatcha cookin up? Sitting out Santa's, eh? Well, I hope you don't have as many Santas as I do snowmen

I made chocolate cupcakes today with my niece. I am making baked corn, macaroni salad, vegetables au gratin, and homemade rolls for thanksgiving. Unless the menu changes again like it has the last three days. I am now up to 84 santas that I sit out in my apartment. If I buy more this year I am going to have to put up some extra shelves next christmas.

I'm going to have un-Thanksgiving along with Thanksgiving this year. Because I know what I am definately not thankful for this year. Yesterday I found out that I have a staph infection in my foot. Yaaah... That means no New Moon, no Thanksgiving with my granny on Saturday, no helping my wife prepare Thanksgiving dinner, no in the house decorating unless we wait 2 weeks. And to top that off, I have 8 days to get into walking shape for Black Friday. I am not missing Black Friday shopping. Even if it's just a few hours instead of our usual all day marathon I will get better by next Friday. All I have to do is find a way to sit on my butt for the next 8 days and do absolutely nothing but watch Christmas movies. I think I am up for the challenge.

Well it has been a busy day for me. My sister had to take my youngest niece to the childrens hospital to see a specialist today. Her regular doctor thought she had a muscle disease and the first round of blood tests showed she might have it. The specialist said that the levels in her blood were to low to really tell and she only has one sign of it so he is not convinced. She goes back in a month for more blood work before they will say for sure. I got to watch my older niece and she had me on the go all day. I did manage to get some christmas shopping done though. If I only had an idea about what to get my mom I could be done . Well I got to get some sleep. Goodnight!!!!!!!

Up early today, my cold would not allow me to sleep in. Oh well, it is nice and quiet this time of the day. My cat thinks it is great!
Going to my brothers place to pick up mom and then over to London to pick up my daughter for the weekend.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY # 8

Good Morning, Everybody.

Hey!
Under a week to Thanksgiving, now. The year is just racing by!
Days to Christmas Day: 35 (Five weeks from today!)
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 6

Beautifully sunny and calm here in Raleigh at this hour.
We stand at 56 degrees currently.
Had a bit of morning rain yesterday but today is supposed to be precipitation free.

Have now listened to several complete Christmas albums and watched Holiday Inn, White Christmas and Home Alone, as I enjoy yet another fantastic Christmas Season.

Good morning everyone! I can't believe we're only 5 short weeks away. I still have TONS of shopping and decorating and cookie making to do. And I have a rug that I need to make for my MIL. I've been putting that off for quite some time. It's one of those "fun" things that I never give myself time to do (much like reading books).

I'm going to get my van inspected today and after that, who knows? Maybe I'll go grocery shopping and make something yummy for dinner tonight.

It's the 20th!! Five more days until a month before Christmas. Crown's calculation of five weeks until Christmas is comforting, too! It's raining in Ottawa today. High around 7C (45F). The rain should stop in time for a mostly sunny weekend.

Not a whole lot to say today. I need to spend much of my day in the library writing a proposal, assignment and maybe start an essay. Plus, I have to go to the gym first. It's going to be a busy day. Time to buckle down, however. I only have two weeks until everything must be handed in and I return home for my Christmas holidays!

Here we are at the end of another week and less than a week away from thanksgiving. It is hard to belive that we are only five weeks away from christmas. I am planning on listening to christmas music most of the day and get some cleaning done. I will take breaks to watch nascar practice on tv. This is the last race weekend of the year so I will try to watch it all. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
