Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well! Goodness friends, we are getting up there in posts! Makes for alot of reading, but isn't it cool! Speaking of cool, it sure is cool here! Man oh man! It is freezing here and won't be above until Sunday! I love the extreme cold because it is how I picture Christmas.

We got so much going on at work right now, I can't wait to be able to catch up on all the reading this weekend! Will be a lot of fun. See yall tomorrow!

Well it is a little warmer this morning at 15. They are calling for a high of 26 today and then the temps wil start dropping again and the snow will come in late tonight. I am going to work some this morning and I hope to be back home sometime in the early afternoon. I also need to stop at the grocery store while I am out. I am not looking forward to that since everyone will be there because of the snow coming in tonight. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Our water is still frozen. It probably will be until sometime next week. It barely got above freezing today and it is supposed to be colder as the week go on. Luckily, I live near my mom so we have going there and spending the night. Right now I am home getting some more clothes, etc. I thought I would pop in here and see how you all are doing. I hope everyone is staying warm. Stay safe and take care.

Good morning! Woke up this morning to 10 F weather! Brrr! I opened the door up to let my dogs out and they just kinda looked at me and turned away, almost as if to say "I ain't going out there!"

Just got into work, but I wanted to stop and say hi before I got going. NO ballgame duty tonight, so I look forward to maybe getting to spend some time here. See yall then!

We are gonna be gettin cold here in Texas. Highs in the 20s for the next several days. This is the first winter since I have been here that it actually felt like winter.

We are having here -25'C!!!! Why do we have such temperature namely during our vacation!! It's impossible to stay on the street more than for 10 minutes!!

I saw something this morning that made me smile, even though it was a sign of the end of the Christmas season. In our neighborhood there were several "demoted" Christmas trees lying on the curb, a sad sight. But one homeowner had stuck his ex-Christmas tree upright in a snowbank near the curb, making it look as if a full-grown evergreen had sprouted up overnight!

Wow!
Almost a week into 2010 and we are still posting at more than double the daily rate for 2009.
If this continues all year, we will easily top 10,000 posts, if not 12,000!

Speaking of numbers makes me want to get right to the count and revel in how close we are to our first Milestone!
Days to the Season: 311
Days to Christmas Day:353
Day after tomorrow, Folks. We will be down to single digits to our first Milestone!

The deep freeze continues here unabated.
Twenty-Six on the shivering thermometer outside my back door and continued prediction of lows in the teens, shortly.
But again, the saving grace is lots of sunshine and no wind.

First visit to the Shispering Pines for the new year!
Complimentary sleigh rides will be provided from the front entrance to the Inn.
As always, Carl will be on hand with Cookies, Tea, Fired Twinkies and....yes....some new experimental coffee blend for Binger or anyone else bold (or foolish?) enough to drink it. (Something about Koolaid this time - sheesh!)
Anyway, Holiday, I assume you will be there as usual.

Been meaning to tell you.
Crabtree Mall not only is still fully decorated and lighted in Christmas splendor, they were still playing Christmas music on the intercom when I was there on Sunday!
The Christmas shop there will remain open until Jan 18 and items are being discounted 25-50%.
(I have my eye on a Christmas house with a train running around it for my sister who admired it when we walked through there in December.)

It's still in the 20's here every morning. Sounds like it's cold everywhere! That global warming thing is really kicking into high gear, huh?:

In the spring and the fall, I miss being outside during the day, but days like this make me glad I have a desk!

Ok, you got me laughing on this because my 5 lb. chihuahua does exactly the same thing. The cold air hits her in the face and she turns back around inside. I have to put a sweater on her before she will go out.

I think that one of the reasons that I don't get that awful sinking feeling when the holidays end is that I have you all to spend a bit of time with looking forward to "next" Christmas! I mean it is close to two months ago that we kicked off the season and that came so hot on the heals of the previous season that it seemed like time passed two minutes for every one!
