Made, your a good man, friend! Going out and shoveling snow is very kind of you. What games are you watching this weekend? Do you get HBO? 24/7 with Jimmie Johnson starts before too long!

Good Evening! It was a busy day here and a cold one. I think the hi for today was about 6. It's back into the minuses again this evening. Doesn't take long to drop once the sun goes down. Well I got busy and took my Christmas tree down this evening. My living room looks soooo empty...*L* Hope you all had a good day.

also snowed last night, on top of the rain we had first...I think cleaning off the bus may be fun again today!
:snowball:

Oh man, did I have a nice snow day yesterday! We just relaxed and did nothing but eat yummy food all day LOL. We ended up not taking DD outside. It was just too cold. She did ask to watch Polar Express, though, so we cuddled up together on the couch last night to watch it before bed. What a great end to the day :)

Today I'm headed back to work, though. The schools are all canceled b/c of the extremely cold "arctic" temperatures. We are seeing the coldest weather in over 10 years here. I'm not sure if we'll be busy or not. It may just be too cold for people to go shopping at the mall. We'll see!

Well, hope that you all have a great day. Everyone stay warm! :snowball:

Brad, some of my fondest....no....my fondest memories of my youth is time being spent with my Dad hunting. He will look back on these days with and smile one day.

Heard a saying I liked one time. It went something like this, "Hunt with your son today, not for him tomorrow."
I like that! We have a similar saying down here: "Keep a boy in the woods and you'll keep him out of trouble."

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

The weather guys said it might snow last night and this morning, but it's just rain. Oh, well. The last real snow we had here was in ...1984, I think? It just doesn't snow this close to the coast in Georgia. I remember that day, though. There were so many fender-benders, it was ridiculous! Nobody around here know how to drive in icy conditions.

It's supposed to clear up this afternoon, and turn super cold again for a few days, but they say it's be near 60°F by next Friday. We'll see.

I hope you all have a great Friday! cheesy

.....I have a handy dandy spot to insert my memory card so I can upload and delete images at the same time.....
Great, Auntie.
(Now we can expect more photos from you in our Christmas Blossoms 2010 thread!)

Good Morning, Everybody.

Hey! It's the Eve of the Weekend again! Already the second weekend in the new year. We are moving right along.
And how "along" are we moving? Well, let's see:
Days to the Season: 309
Days to Christmas Day:351
Single digits to Milestone # 1!
So close I can already see through the "window" to the 200's to the Season.

Wow!
It was supposed to get cold last night and snow.
Instead, it got WARMER and rained.
We are at 37 under overcast skies. (Hmmm... Has anyone ever been over undercast skies??)
Still predicted to drop into the teens for the next 3 nights. But no more precip.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And may your Weekend get off to a Wonderous start this afternoon!

An observation. On Christmas Eve, I noticed they already had Valentine's out. Now I see Easter out. Think about this. If Easter is in April (IF....it could be March this year I am not sure) then in the amount of time that passes between now and Easter it will only be that amount of time again until the Old Time Potterys and Hobbly Lobbys of the world have Christmas out. Again, don't wanna wish life away but just ano observation.

Snow here...not much, just enough to make the roads icy..but what little bit we did get is pretty. Have a good Friday everyone.

Morning all! Hope this finds everyone.....warm! Cold here, believe 9 F. We are out of school today. Had a little bit of snow, but just enough to cover the ground. It was melting, but the temp. continued to drop and then it all went to ice. The ice will be there through tomorrow and then Sunday it is expected to warm back up.

Cold weather is cool. I appreciate both sides of the weather, so I guess that makes me happy year round. I just choose to like both types, it's a different experience I guess you could say.

Being the ballcoach and all, you would think that I watched the national championship game between Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide. But my friends, if that is what you think, your wrong. See, being a true Arkansas Razorback fan, it's almost one of the 7 deadly sins to pull for Texas or Alabama. Nothing to do with not liking the state of Texas! After all, I am a Cowboys fan! Has more to do with being a Hogs fan. At this point, I don't even know who won. Have a great day!

The Countdown is moving right along Crown! When we get to 300 days until the season, I actually hit a milestone in my countdown. It will be 200 days until I begin preparing for Christmas! Seems so close, but so far away!

Welcome friday! We had more snow last night. Snow on the lawn is over 3 feet now! Hope everyone has a great friday and friday evening. Ill probably relax!! Wait whats that? heh

ballcoach~ I'm hurt! I am an Alabama fan and I pull for all the SEC teams in Bowl games...even Arkansas. Oh, BTW Alabama won!! Roll Tide Roll!!cheesy

Schools are closed here today because of dangerous road conditions and cold. The roads are icy and it is too cold for the kids to be standing at the bus stops. I just wish we had some snow in which to play.

Good Morning all!

Super cold here. Not suppose to get out of the 20's today.

Keep warm everyone!

Wow!

Us, too. The kids were VERY dissappointed.

We got about 2 inches of snow last night. Just enough to look pretty.

Oh, no, I don't think I'll ever be able to keep up at this pace! I only just got on line when the little ones went down to nap.

It's beautiful here, very cold, and snowing gently with big fat snowflakes, but is sadly overcast. I think it's a good day to get some planning, organizing, and maybe even shopping done for next year, at least I'm in that mood. The first hurdle, though, is that I'm not finding Christmas slippers, pajamas, hats, gloves, and things for the children in next year's sizes. I guess that the retailers kept their word and didn't overstock these things so there wasn't much to put on clearance. No big deal, we don't NEED winter clothes with giant christmas symbols on them, or I can always take plain things and add those.

Hello everybodycheesy
Sounds like you all have fairly cold weather!! Mine is still fairly mild sitting at 43 & pouring rain!!! the winter here has been VERY strange..usually there is snow on the ground by now:snowball:

We survived the first snow storm of 2010. The roads aren't too bad today. I'm done with work the the week but it starts all over again next week! Classes begin on the 19 but that means my first year of college is almost over!

Wow the day is almost over with and I am just getting on my favorite website for the first time today. Things have been hetic here today. I woke up to a temp of 8 degrees and snow flurries. We had strong winds overnight and the snow that fell yesterday blew all over everything again. So the first thing I did was spend a hour shoveling all the areas that I shoveled yesterday. At least I only had a couple of inches covering it today and not 6 like yesterday. You can defintely tell where I shoveled because you can see the sidewalk unlike the rest of the complex where the maintenance crew shoveled. After I got that done it was on to three different grocery stores. They all had one or two items on sale for a good price and since they are all within a 1/2 mile of each other I went to all three. Then I went to hobby lobby to see what they had left. They didn't have much but they did have some ornaments that I picked up for 90% off. I also went to kmart and meijer to look for christmas stuff. I picked up some cards and some more ornaments at 75% off but they didn't have much left either. Then I went to steak n shake to meet a friend for a late lunch. Then finally it was back home. Now I am sitting here thinking that I can't wait for july to see what kind of ornaments hobby lobby will get in for next year. I hope everyone has had a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
