Christmas Countdown - 2010

We survived the first snow storm of 2010. The roads aren't too bad today. I'm done with work the the week but it starts all over again next week! Classes begin on the 19 but that means my first year of college is almost over!

Glad to hear that you got through the snow okay!!!!!! I hope your ready for the extremely frigid temps that are coming in this weekend.

What games are you watching this weekend? Do you get HBO? 24/7 with Jimmie Johnson starts before too long!

I am going to try to watch all of them. The weather here is going to be extremely cold this weekend so I plan on just staying inside and watching football all afternoon and night.

I don't get HBO right now but I am thinking about upgrading if they ever get the new line run out to us. Right now I have to many problems with losing service during high volume times to pay them anymore money.

I like that! We have a similar saying down here: "Keep a boy in the woods and you'll keep him out of trouble."

I had a scout master that use to say that to all of us when I was in scouts. He usually said it when we would all ask him why we had to hike five miles into the woods when there was a perfectly good campsite right by the parking lot. cheesy

stepped on the wretched scale today to see the crime christmas did on my behind...9 was my lucky number!! hahahaha

That is why I don't own a scale. I am happy as long as I can fit into my same size pants.

Almost 9pm the end of another busy day. I have a baby shower cake to make for Saturday, which I will bake in the morning, that way it will be fresher for my customer! Most of the decorations I already made so it will not take long to put together (will post a picture when done)

I can't wait to see the picture!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you all have fairly cold weather!! Mine is still fairly mild sitting at 43 & pouring rain!!! the winter here has been VERY strange..usually there is snow on the ground by now:

And very strange here! We should have your weather, instead icy cold weather and more snow than usual! We will not get out of the 20's today.

Man, what a week. Is it Christmas yet? Somebody wrap me in paper and take me under the mistletoe. I'm ready for a break....

Then I went to hobby lobby to see what they had left. They didn't have much but they did have some ornaments that I picked up for 90% off.

I was there the other day and saw what they had left at 90% off but it was picked over big time and I didn't see anything I wanted.

Got my main tree down today. First time I ever took it down that I did not feel gloomy about it. I still have the Christmas spirit so all is good! I do still have a table top tree up in my room. That will stay up a bit longer.

Went out and spent too much on Christmas ornaments today but they were 75% off!! Who could resist that? I told my husband he would appreciate it next year AND it there was still snow on the ground from yesterday and flurries today. What a great day it has been!

We had some snow flurries early this morning. It was nice.

I have stayed in the house all day, except when I went outside to look at all the icicles on the house. It was so pretty! I loved it.

Dropped my daughter off in London, school starts again for her on Monday, and Wednesday she finds out if they are going on strike or not.....we are really praying not! She is doing so well, 4. grade average (which is A to A+) and it would really suck for her to have to put her studies on hold, as it would for all students who would suffer because of this.

That's terrible. My final year of college (2006) was interrupted by a strike. It's a shame that they still haven't sorted a lot of that out. Luckily for me, however, they could not extend our school year due to the possibility of us students losing out on important summer jobs. Hopefully they don't strike for the sake of your daughter, especially since she is doing so well!

all the holiday goodies & junk food..= 9 pounds gained..
BUT i don't regret it at all..all the delicious food.cheesy

...now onto more wretched things..like busting my butt at the track!!

Food is totally worth it!! I gained a few pounds and I didn't stop going to the gym throughout the Holidays!! It happens!

I am dumbfounded at all the posts we're getting. Incredibly surprised! I love seeing all this Christmas Spirit continue into the beginning of 2010! Only 9 days away from our first milestone? I love this site.

Somehow, I didn't wake up until 11:30 this morning. Hooray for having Fridays totally off. Well, mostly off. I managed to spend 2 and a half hours at the gym today. Usually two hours is my maximum but I did a few extra exercises and talked to a few people in there as well. Too long yet enjoyable at the same time!

Enjoy your Friday night!! It looks like I may have a nice low key weekend and stay home! I like it.

Good evening! The wife and I went to buy groceries since we both were off and it was very cold and surprisingly busy! But hey, we got it out of the way! Tomorrow and Sunday, we are going to relax and have nothing to do, which will be very nice. See everyone in the morning.
