Cold weather has returned and we are again back down into the 30's.
It is nicely sunny, however, and it should be quite comfortable by this afternoon.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!
Wow, it's beautiful weather here today! It's sunny and supposed to get to almost 70°F. But they are predicting thunderstorms on Thursday. Hopefully some of the rain we got over the weekend will have a chance to soak in before this storm hits. The river are swollen out of the banks past flood stage now. My uncle live near the river, and has to take a boat to his house these days. LOL!
Anyway, I'm going to enjoy this beautiful day today. I may be stuck in an office, but I have 3 windows that can open. I'm opening them all now.

I love opening windows and do it everyday when the weather allows....even when it does not come to think of it...just love the fresh air in the house!

Checking in for my first time since milestone Sunday! It's nice to read so much Christmas activity remains. 3 1/2 weeks until a quarter of the way? It's hard to believe that Christmas was just 25 days ago... it feels like yesterday I was home and smiling with my family...Oh well, I talked to my mom, dad and brother all on the phone on Saturday, which may be a first for a single day... Well, first in a while, at least!
Brad, those temperatures seem so nice! It really makes me hope the snow is gone here by March so that we can move practices outside earlier than previous years. We've had a warm spell here and the Ottawa Canal doesn't look like it will cooperate for skating until February, at least for me anyway. I don't trust any ice conditions if the temperature is near freezing... It's too soft and choppy.
Well, I'm glad that many of you south of Canada enjoyed your long weekened. MLK Day is certainly something important to remember and celebrate. Our next holiday is only in a month's time... "Family Day," which was only installed two years ago (I believe). Have a great Tuesday, everyone!!!

Fresh air is nice... almost as nice as the smell of fresh baking!!

I would rather have windows open than having the air conditioner in the summer, but summers are just too darn hot.

Great reason to have a big bowl of popcorn tonight with whatever you're watching!
We passed the evening yesterday playing Super Scrabble---we got a set for Christmas. Super is right! It took about three and a half hours to play a complete game. When we got through we photographed the game board.
Unexpected snow this morning, and Special Election Day to boot. (Massachusetts---we're electing a U.S. Senator.) Very photogenic snow, too, when you're not driving in it.
Will have to take a rain check on that Christmasstar....I've been busy and these next couple of days will be busy too. King Size...I need to send you some cash to send me a couple Aero Bars....*L*
Good luck on your cake decorating class....let me know how it goes. I think it would be loads of fun to do this. I can bake but my mother and sister are the decorators of the family. My mother used to make really gorgeous cakes, wedding cakes with a waterfall those sorts of things. Really lovely.... wish her talents would have rubbed off on me.cheesy

Ever have it with brewers yeast sprinkled on it? That's super yummy (well to me anyways...guess some people might not like it!)

Ghana is playing Burkina Faso in the African Cup of Nations (soccer african championship).....so that is being watched in my house....my man´s country cameroon is playing thursday....I hope i don´t fall asleep to early againb
I use nutritional yeast on some foods but have not tried the brewers yeast. I might have to look into that!
