Coach- Nationwide qualifying was cancelled due to rain today so Junior will start 3rd in tomorrows race. Hopefully it stops raining before the truck race is supposed to start.

IT'S SNOOOOOOOWING HERE IN ATLANTA!! And it is BEAUTIFUL!! I can't believe that it's supposed to snow in south Georgia and FLORIDA!! When was the last time THAT happened?! This is soooo exciting!!

It was 1980-something, I think. Sadly, I'm old enough to remember the one before that, too! cheesy

They did indeed do the new version of We Are The World. Hard to believe it's been 25 years since the original version was out. Have you heard they added MJ to the new version? Awesome! I loved it!

Good Morning!
Thought maybe I'd sleep in with it being Saturday but I've been up since 5am. A little windy out this morning. Weatherman keeps predicting snow but nothing yet. Not sure what my plans are for the day. Daughter has a 3 day weekend with Monday being Presidents day. Have a good friends!

I liked the first part with the native tribes represented and dancing, it was well done. I however did not enjoy the next part.(can't really explain why, just did not like it) Last I remember seeing was something about people dancing around in a forest. I am hoping the rest was better and look forward to seeing it later.

It's Saturday, the start of a long weekend here.

Just finished baking a batch of blueberry muffins. Now the whole house smells nice.
They are hot, fluffy, loaded with blueberries and great with a hot cup of tea.

I liked the first part with the native tribes represented and dancing, it was well done. I however did not enjoy the next part.(can't really explain why, just did not like it) Last I remember seeing was something about people dancing around in a forest. I am hoping the rest was better and look forward to seeing it later.

I watched most of it, it wasn't bad. There was a glitch in the lighting of the torch. There was supposed to be 4 legs or something coming out of the floor but one of them got stuck, so they did it with 3. I, however, guessed who the torch lighter would be before they showed him, it was Wayne Gretzky.

wasn´t hard to guess....but it ws great it wasn´t just him.....all the three who had the poles in front of em lit it....just the lady was left out, cos her pole didn´t make it

Ah, yes. Thanks for the recognition, Bing.
Alas, the event fell victim to the great mattress shortage of '72. They had to cancel it for the Olympic games that year and just never brought it back. Pity.

On a happier note, as of today we move into the 2nd quarter of our Season journey:
Days to the Season: 273
Days to Christmas Day:315
And just note. In only 2 weeks from tomorrow, we reach Milestone # 3, the 300-day Christmas Day window.
Wow! Can we really be approaching our third Milestone already??

Well, Guys, there is snow on the ground here! About 2-3 inches worth by the sight of it from my window.
This is a "earth & plant-only snow" (nothing on the streets or sidewalks).
We are actually a bit above freezing so it likely won't hang around too long.
Beautiful to look at, however!
