Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good afternoon, everyone! (or should I say evening, it's 5 o'clock...?)

It seems as if the USA Men's Hockey team will head into the Gold Medal game as they are dominating Finland 6-0 with only 10 minutes left. Congratulations. It should be an exciting game on Sunday. Canada vs. Slovakia should be a real barn burner tonight, too!!

I'm pretty tired today. I woke up and went to the gym for about two hours after a fairly hard workout yesterday. Still, it felt really good! I also had a meeting with my professor in regards to my Tuesday presentation. It just to make sure that I am well prepared. Thankfully, he believes I am! Hooray!

It's fairly windy here in Ottawa today, but the sun is shining and the recently accumulated snowfall is already melting. We have two more days left with this lingering low pressure system and then sunshine is forecasted for the better part of next week. Beautiful! I can't wait for the return of green grass and budding trees. Grass should come in a couple weeks, but the trees will not until the end of April...

Well, I hope that everyone is enjoying themselves. The weekend is upon us and the weather is looking up! Of course, another milestone is only a couple sleeps away as well! Have a great Friday and weekend, everyone!!

Sorry to hear and keep us posted. I will say a prayer.

Things are not looking that great. She had a brain hemorrage in her ceberal cortex. They can not operate because of where it is so they have put a line into her skull to reduce the pressure and have her in a drug induced coma right now. The doctors are not giving her a very good chance of recovering right now.

Coach- Junior qualified 4th for sundays race. Maybe this is the weekend that it all turns around for him.

Good Evening. Hope you all had a good day. Any specials plans for the weekend? I plan to just relax and hopefully not do much of anything. D/D has a birthday party to attend tomorrow. Her BFF is having a party at the Hot Springs....I'm sure they will have a blast. The parents have never been there, but sometimes when we go we let d/d bring a friend. And of course the friend loves it there! Have a great evening everyone. See ya tomorrow!​

She is still showing bran activity but they are not sure how she will do when they take the breathing tube out this morning. They had some tough choices to make overnight and I don't envy them at all.

Taking mom shopping this morning and then meeting some friends for lunch.

Well I woke up to about 1 1/2 inches of snow this morning and they are saying that we could get some more this afternoon. I have already went out and cleaned off the sidewalk for everyone and now I am watching the news coverage of the earthquake in chile. The rest of the day is going to be hanging around home and watching nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the coldest winter I can recall in quite a number of years.
We started out below freezing early this morning and have only reached 35 so far.
(Thank goodness for the sun and lack of wind!)

Well, looks like the USA has a 7 medal lead as of the count last night with 2 days to go. Germany had come within 2 a couple of days ago but we have pulled back a bit further ahead.
The Olympics have certainly been interesting and fun to watch.
(I've even learned a little about curling!)
