Well, I have been gone since probably January......I have been MIA.....but i remember posting this statement last year......so.....only one more Rudolf day(25th) until the big half way on of June 25th.....that's where it starts getting good for me......
Welcome back!

Hi everyone! Gloomy Monday.. my favorite sort of day! My son and I are staying in and relaxing today after a busy day yesterday. We're going to bake some cookies and listen to Christmas music! :) I grabbed some socks today and my 2 year old just happily squealed, "HO HO SOCKS!!!" (He calls Santa "Ho ho" - haha). Too cute. I think he gets just about as excited as I do for Christmas.

On another note, does anyone know if the Hallmark Dreambook is in stores yet?? If not, any idea when it will be?
This is a link to the Hallmark website for a sneak peek but not sure when the book will be in stores. http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/.../KO_KEEPSAKEORNAMENTTP?rSearchTerm=dream book

Enjoy your Monday!

Good evening all,

Another late night watching hockey the Pittsburgh Penguins lost in triple overtime to the Ottawa Senators so I am a little down about that at the moment. Went to a travel agent today to make plans for our boys first trip to Walt Disney World in Spring/Summer 2012 but first of all we got an agent who was about 155 years old and had as much personality as a cucumber, we learned we can't book this early, and the woman made what should have been an exciting experience for us turn it into what seemed like a hassle for her. Near the end of this dreadful experience a friend of hers walked in, she handed us the sheet of paper and basically told it to add it up ourselves and that will be the estimate of our trip, and went and talked to her friend. How professional was that. We will NOT be dealing with that company again, because we left feeling upset and sad. It should have been a fun and exciting time but she ruined it for us. We cannot book until 6-8 months before we go so we have some time to wait. Other than that it was a good day, hope you all had a good Thursday.

We are going to Disney in June. You really don't have to have a travel agent. I booked everything myself, online. Rates for the next year come out the first week of August, so you can book a package then (room & tickets, plus dining & other options if you want). You can make your dining reservations 180 days before your trip---needed if you want sit-down meals in the parks or resorts. I have made up a Disney notebook over the past two years. If you want to know more, just let me know!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a wet and nasty weekend, but it's sunny and 70° this morning.

Yesterday evening I was driving home when a saw a gray fox cross the road not far from my house. I stopped to see where she was going. She looked at me, played in the grass for a while, then jumped across the RR tracks. A few seconds later I saw her ears and eyes poke out over the tracks, then she jumped out and played some more.

I went home, loaded the family on the golf cart and went back to the scene. She played and showed-off for us for a while longer.

This morning, on the way to work, I rode past the place we saw her. Just over the tracks, I saw 4 little sets of ears and eyes. 4 little fox pups were out there playing and watching me. I got out of the truck and walked to within 10 ft. of one of them before he ran. I think I'll get some food for them today.

Pretty cool, huh?

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy
That is fantastic! I love love love animals of all kinds. They are interesting to watch and see how they interact with each other.

I remember a couple of years ago we had an opossum and her babies hanging around our house. Very unusual for our area since we live in a busy city. The mom died so my son gathered up the babies and took to a rehab. The babies are actually very cute! Of course according to my husband I think all animals are cute.

One of my bosses does rehab for bats. She has brought many baby ones up to work to take care of until they can be released back in the wild. They are really cute as well. I know some might not agree but I think they are. Bats get a bad rap but they are very beneficial in mosquito control. They can eat more than 1000 mosquito's in 1 hour! I would love to invest in a bat house to attract them. I rather have them around than pesky mosquito's! cheesy

I hope you can get some pictures of the fox to post!

Well then, he would only be interested in our Christmas Day count number, while the rest of us have two dates to count down to!
This man has never been on a computer. I told him I was part of a Christmas forum and he asked, "what is a forum?"

Well I have to take mom to the doctor today to get her cast off. Hopefully everything still looks good. Then I have to go pick up my oldest niece who is going to spend the night here because my sister has to take my youngest niece for a sleep study tonight and her my brother in law has to be at work at 6am tomorrow. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope all works out for mom and your niece! Keep us posted.

Having a similar sort of day myself! I bought some Airwick plug-in type things that are "Harvest Spice" scented.. they remind me of the excitement in the months leading up to Christmas and put me in such a good mood!!

Well I am home from taking mom to the doctor and picking up my niece. They took moms cast off and everything looks okay but her ankle is really stiff. The doctor is going to let her start walking a little bit at a time. This week she can put 25% of her weight on her foot and then increase it every week for the next 4 weeks. He is holding her out of therapy until she can put all of her weight on it also. He said that he is taking it easy this time so hopefully everything stays in place.

I was that way all weekend. I was listening to christmas music and searching for christmas stuff online. I bought enough gingerbread refills for the glade plug in in my bedroom all year after christmas. cheesy
