Christmas Countdown - 2010

Well, happy new week everyone. Well we had one busy weekend, I worked all day Saturday got home and prepped for my sons 5th birthday party for Sunday.

The party was good but 10 4-5-6 year olds running around can make anyones head spin. We have learned it is more expensive to do a home party compared to a different place, so we will do other places for now on (less stress).

LOL! We always found it to be a lot cheapier to have the kids b-day parties at home.

Good afternoon, everyone!!

200 days until the Christmas Season? That sure does sound exciting! Wait. Sound? It IS exciting!! I missed the 1/3 milestone yesterday. My apologies for that. I had to finish the final essay of my undergrad career and hand it in. 23 pages! It's all done and complete now. Hopefully the mark will be just as the feeling of being done my undergrad! Now, I just have to keep looking into grad school. My fingers are certainy crossed for this one!!

Believe it or not, there was actually snow on the ground very early this morning. How is that for Christmas spirit? It's currently very windy with heavy northern gusts creating a windchill of -1C. Brrrrrrrrrrrr! The wind is supposed to calm down in a few hours and the temperature will hit about 8C (46F) sometime this afternoon. Not bad... As long as there is no more cold weather after today, I will be OK with it.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the second half of the back-to-back milestones. May is only a few more days away!

Just poppin on to say hi! 200 Days left till the BEST season! Not long at all. I hope everyone has a great day. Oh and I'm almost at 100% with my ankle. Stairs are still a bit of an issue going down. I can go up stairs just fine....hmmm..I have to figure out how to just go up stairs instead of going down? haha. William is doing well. He has 5 teeth and some more are coming in. Our remodel is going to drive me crazy. I don't think my marriage could withstand building a new house. Ok, I'm joking about that. But remodeling stinks, especially when you have to live in the house while it's being remodeled.

I hope it gets done quickly before it does make you go crazy!!!!!

Well it has been a hetic morning here. I was just getting on here to start posting when my great uncle called and said that he thought my great aunt was having a heart attack. He had already called an ambulance so I rushed over to see what was going on. I live in apartment building 13 and they live in building 14 so I made it there right as the ambulance was pulling in. She was having a lot of chest pain so they took her to the local hospital. I drove my great uncle over and sat over there most of the morning. Her daughter and grand daughter got there right as the doctor came out to tell us it wasn't a heart attack and they think it has something to do with her stomach. They were admitting her and going to run alot more tests. I came home to check on mom and I have to take my niece home here in about an hour. Then depending on what I hear from my cousins I will decide wether we are going to go back up to the hospital. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

200 days does not seem possible, it is only 6mos and 20 days (just getting a grasp here) With the help of this site my Christmas spirit has not wavered much this year, I am thinking about it more and checking out more Christmas related sites, and what is for sale for Christmas related products. I usually get my Christmas "thinking" really going mid-May but I am already there. Just need to find my Bubble lights, someone outbid me on Ebay last week :-?

200 Days to the season!!! I know I still have to go through summer in south GA, but it's still cool in the mornings. When a cool spring breeze goes by, I can sometimes close my eyes and pretend that it's a fall breeze, and we have pumpkins and bales of hay in the yard, and Thanksgiving is almost here. I LOVE doing that!

I love that time of year the best! I will look even more forward to it when our temps get up to 100+.

I have had some chronic stomach problems in the past that contributed to horrible heartburn. The heartburn would get so bad that it felt like a crushing pain in my chest. It hurt to breath and I would have to sit straight up to sleep. I would be in tears from hurting. This went on for many years. Over a year ago I became a vegetarian and it corrected my stomach issues and I was able to stop taking all my prescription medications. I now rarely have any stomach issues and never get heartburn and it use to be a 24/7 thing. Going veggie doesn't work for everyone but it sure changed my life. I am human though and still nibble on a little junk food every now and then! cheesy

I sure hope it is nothing real serious with your aunt. I really feel for her because there are so many things that can contribute to stomach problems and sometimes it can take awhile to come up with an answer. I know it did for me (it took years!). Hopefully she will get a quick diagnosis and be on her way to healing! Tell her we are praying for her!

They are going to do a scope on my great aunt tomorrow afternoon. She broke a small bone in her wrist about a month ago and was given pain pills. She has had a problem before with taking to many of them and it looks like that may be the problem again and the doctor thinks that it may have eaten away at the inside of her stomach.
