Christmas Countdown - 2010

I start a new job tomorrow! A full-time job! I have a month contract with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges. I will be their Database Coordinator/Administrator. What does that entail? I will find out tomorrow. Although it is only a month position for now, I cannot commit to anything longer due to the fact that I will be going to Prague and Amsterdam at the beginning of July. Basically, this works out perfectly for me.

I'm unsure of the online availability at the ACCC, but I will do my best to check in tomorrow. A day of work without the countdown just does not seem right. Now, I am tired and need some sleep. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. Have a great night, everyone!

I remember when I used to get that excited about these races coming up, but no more, it just doesn't do it for me anymore. I will probably check in from time to time to see what's going on, but just can't sit and watch a whole race anymore.

Well, it's Wednesday again after my "Wednesday preview" yesterday.
(Once again, too little sleep, I guess. The sound of someone grinding coffee beans kept me awake.)

Regardless, the count moves on:
Days to the Season: 171
Days to Christmas Day: 213
And so we pass under 2 weeks to the 200-day Christmas Day Milestone.

Hey! It's sunny outside for a change!
Our temp stands at 65 degrees bound for the low to mid 80's by this afternoon and....drum roll please....no rain in the forecast! (at least until tomorrow, that is).

OK.
Now I realize why there was no crowd at the 'Pines yesterday. I arrived a day too early.
But now it really is Wednesday and Carl is waiting for us with all the bells, whistles and goodies.
Holiday and I will see you there!

Wow, is it really Wednesday already? Where does the time go! We are putting an offer in on a house today. This will be our 3rd offer so I don't want to get excited or anything yet, although that first time buyer credit is over so we don't have as much "competition." Just praying that if we are meant to have this house, that it happen smoothly!!!

Anyway, HOT day today! 92! Blech. I think we'll stay inside. Or maybe we'll go out later this AM and play with some water. I'm not a fan of heat and humidity so I'd rather hide from it inside!! Just wish we had a/c at the house we are staying in but I will survive!!!

It is going to be another hot one here today. They are calling for a high of 89 with 82% humidty. I am getting ready to head out and work for a few hours after my sister gets here to pick up my niece. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just talked to my sister and the pain medicine is wearing off on my niece and she is starting to get cranky now. They keep trying to give her more but she just spits it right back out at them. She has been chowing down on ice chips and Popsicles though. I don't think my sister is enjoying spending her birthday at the hospital though. That reminds me I need to call my other sister and tell her happy birthday to.

She sounds like she is doing well since she is eating. cheesy I hope she keeps improving.

hi my friends....been a good day....mostly sunny and hot....with a little rain shower coming down.....I ordered Dean Martin<s and Frank Sinatra´s Christmas Cds and they arrived today....I played em in the car....28 degrees celcius outside and I had Let It Snow banging in the car....

Good Afternoon... I have not been on here for almost a week but it feels alot longer then that. That past week has been crazy, my mom fell and broke her ankle in 3 places. She had surgery the other day and then the hospital transferred her to a rehab center for Phy. Therapy as she is having a hard time getting around with the cast on. They expect her to be in there for a couple of weeks.

I hope she heals quickly!

Oh how I've missed this site! Besides the fact that i LOVE christmas.... The jolly season has been on my mind A LOT this past week...to the point i am even dreaming that it is christmas!!!

I had a dream about Christmas the other night!

So, I watched the animated Grinch on the weekend after watching the Carrey version the weekend before. I love it when the Grinches heart grows three sizes and the Whoville gang sing Fa Who Foraze without any presents at all. )

My grandsons love the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I don't think they have seen the Carrey version yet. We do have it on dvd so I might have to pop that in one day.

Well it was exhausting babysitting my niece all day. It wasn't exactly how I would have preferred to spend my birthday but it wasn't a total waste of a day either. I hope everyone had a good day!!!!!!

I still have not caught up on yesterday's post and not sure when or if I will get to it. Not having a laptop makes it difficult. I have to sit in our office to use my husbands computer and with the laptop I can carry room to room and outside. When the kids go out to play I usually take that with me and surf the net a little while they play.

My granddaughter had 102 temp yesterday. It is difficult to tell when she is sick because she is such a good baby. She was happy most the day yesterday but seemed slightly out of it. I finally decided to take her temp and was surprised that it was that high. She was eating well too. She is 9 months old and I am amazed how cheerful she is all the time. When she wakes up from naps she never cries, she always has a big smile on her face! She has even woke up a little during a nap and will smile real big then fall back to sleep. She doesn't fight taking a naps either, if she is tired she just goes to sleep! Most baby and kids fight it. She got better later during the day and they said she seemed to be better last night.

The kids will be here shortly and sure hope she is better. If not, she will be going to the doctor.

Good Morning...... Thanks for all the well wishes. I talked to the rehab center today and they said if my keeps going at the pace she is going at then she could be able to come home next week.
