Christmas Countdown - 2010

Just six months to go now until Christmas.
Good evening all Christmas friends
I have a rare 3 day weekend this weekend, will be very busy, birthday parties on Saturday and Sunday. Then one more week and I will be on vacation, my sister will be coming home from S.C. for a week, just learned she will be having a boy, my first nephew. Spent 3 hours doing yardwork today before going to work, so I am feeling the exhaustion tonight, but I am happy because my Boston Bruins selected Tyler Seguin in the draft, not who I was hoping for but a great consolation prize, could be the best player in this draft when all is said and done.
Hoping to get on tomorrow (Sat.) but as of right now I don't know because of the Surprise party, and my town lights off the fireworks tomorrow night, just a quarter of a mile down my street.

Good Morning my Christmas friends! I hope you are all doing well today.
We are getting ready for our train trip. We leave next week. I have not traveled by train since 2001 and cannot wait to go! I think I already mentioned that we will travel by train overnight to Chicago, stay a night there and then travel overnight coming back. We have a bedroom onboard the train. When you get a bedroom all meals in the dining car are free. If anyone here has not been on an overnight train trip, I highly recommend it. You don't get anywhere fast but that's the fun! There is so much to see.

Christmas-A-Holic --- your train trip sounds delightful! A train ride IS a wonderful way to see the beautiful country!!!
I have been outside this morning.... before the BIG heat and humidity returns today! I have been cutting all kinds of vines that are growing happily over bushes, trees -- everything they can cuddle up to! Wild morning glory, honeysuckle, all kinds of thriving wild vines!!! Keeping me company was a happy band of little gnats! I prefer gnats to mosquitoes!
I am HAPPY that we are on an amusement-park-like slide towards Christmas 2010! Have a great day!

I have to do a charter this afternoon (about 4 hours)
Tonight I am going to a ladies night out dinner put on by the men in our church. Us ladies are not even allowed to cook dinner for the kids before we leave. It is going to be fun! cheesy
But now, I have to get off the computer and finish decorating that cake!

Hey guys! Slept a little late this morning, but not on purpose. Stayed up late, dogs woke me up around 5 for about 30 min, and then I dozed back off only to wake at 11:15.
Going to get the house good and picked up, work in the yard for a little while, and then cook supper tonight. Don't know if I want to grill or cook inside....we will see. Probably won't be back today, so I will see all tomorrow!

Having a lazy Saturday, the fire alarm in my apartment went off so there was no need for a alarm clock this morning LOL. I'm taking it easy now, watching the Wimbledon, waiting on the USA/Ghana football match, and eating peanut butter out the jar!!! I'm enjoying these lazy days while I can, I know it'll all end abruptly when I graduate from college & when I start a family lol!

Smilesy21 -- I WILL join you in watching the Ghana/USA match today (2:00 USA Eastern Standard Time). I don't know, offhand, what time that is in South Africa! But.... the only soccer I have watched -- up to now -- is grandc hildren playing elementary school soccer. I pay a lot of attention at those games -- because I want to know what happens -- to congratulate or express sympathy! After years of watching little kids -- I am AMAZED at what I am seeing at the World Cup! It is miraculous! It is so beautiful! I AM going to watch! Probably tomorrow too!

Yankee Candle had some medium jar candles for $10 at their store today and large for $12! A great buy.. AND they had fall and Christmas scents!!!! Soooo nice to smell Frosted Pumpkin and Sparkling Pine on a hot summer day.
